Love how understanding Grant is with Ben 😍. They think he's so dark and broken but he understood without a word about Ben being gay and his love for Paul. Just like he understood not to rock Mark's world.
I mean, Tiff's brother Simon was gay and Grant didn't bat an eyelid. Even Peggy was a bit ooo errr about it to start with but Grant? Whilst he may have not understood certain things, how to treat a woman for example, and Courtney, he was a great brother and son. I love Phil and Grant together. They bring out the best in each other IMO. Phil started to understand Ben more as Paul's death, Grant's acceptance and telling Phil what's what when it comes to just taking Ben the way he is or lose him. Then Phil being able to understand Grant's rage and tether him/calm him down, understand his struggles and accept his brother for who HE is. They're the best brother's in soap history for me. Been through so much and still there for each other no matter what they've done to each other lol!
Gotta remember Grant supported Mark during the HIV reveal when everyone else shunned him. I think he understands feeling like the odd one out, an outsider. The whole square talking about your business. He gets it.

I love Grant he's so much more understanding and emotionally stable mature and intelligent than Phil could ever be. I mean he got and gets it that it doesn't matter who Ben is or loves he was and still is at times going through hellish pain at losing Paul and which has only gotten worse since Phil and all the sheanu shit made him break up with Callum and tell him all those lies as he felt and feels the exact same way about Callum and him being forced into breaking up with him to protect him from all this sheanu shit and Phil has made him feel like he has lost Callum for good like he has lost Paul only difference is Callum didn't die or get hurt or killed. So I just hope and believe and know that once all the sheanu shit is over Ben will tell Phil to fuck off and stay away from him and his real family once and for all and he and Callum will get back together and will be better than ever in the end and get their happy ending because they deserve it as they are perfect for each other and meant to be just like Ben and Paul were and are because I am a firm believer that u can love more than one person at a time in the exact same way

Saying 'I know he was gay' implies you naturally shouldn't feel sorry for someone who was beaten to death because they were gay. Hating someone because they are gay is evil. Murdering someone because they are gay is an act of evil.
Truth is out now. This was the one good thing Phil owed to his brother Grant. Since Grant decided he doesn't want the money back. He wants it but he doesn't need it. So since Grant and his son Mark jnr saved Mark's cousin Ben and Ben's brother Jay Brown from Paul's murderers. And Grant admitted he was in a bad place after losing Peggy. So with that said and water under the bridge. Phil decided it was time to do one good thing for his brother Grant. Which is the one good thing Phil owed to his brother Grant. By telling Grant that Mark is his son. His and Michelle's son. The one good thing he owed to his brother was complete open honesty.
