based on what you have said I think I know which UC you go to and I was wondering how you get around because without a car it seems like it would be impossible to go everywhere that you want

I have a car lol. You could take the bus or pay for a zipcar, but other than that I'm not really sure.

I thought I did. Well, at the college I'll be attending this fall, the cost of my room/dorm is around $5000 dollars. Whereas if you stay off campus (and I mean like at home with parents) that's saving you $5000 dollars. Some colleges force you to pay for food (like, i have so and so amount for a year to eat) but if you stay home, you can't be forced to pay that. Are you going to college soon?

What I was referring to when I read "off-campus housing" was living (perhaps with room mates) in a house or apt, independent of your parents. Does this girl still live at her parents house? PS yes, I'm in college right now :P
