Kyle Connor and Sid Crosby fighting was not on my bingo card for the night. That was Connor's first NHL fight and it earned him a Gordie Howe hat trick. Kudos to him as he didn't back down at all and Kudos to Crosby for handling the matter himself.

He can’t stick out a rebuild man, he’s gotta move at the deadline or this summer, it makes no sense to play another 2-3 seasons for (what will soon be) a lottery draft team. Going to any other playoff team will do. I can’t see how he can go to work next 2-3 years as is…

I have been a Pens fan since the days of Mario's rookie year. I hate seeing great players like Crosby and Malkin on this team just wallow in what they have become. I doubt either of them, including Letang want to be traded but it would be worth asking them if they want to go. Even if the Pens had a told a little salary to get draft picks and start the rebuild to let the names that made this team great for 20 years finish their careers with another chance at the Cup would be great. They will still be Penguin's when they retire.

Rupper has nailed it with his commentary. Pens are a tired, aging team whose mediocre days are even behind them. They're not able to play fundamental hockey against better teams and take foolish chances to try to win a game. Sullivan is an excellent coach...this isn't the coaching and arguably Sullivan has kept this team relevant for a number of years. If (and when) he's fired he'll get a new gig; hopefully it's not with the Bruins for his sake.

Buddy hate to tell you this but they're purposely tanking for first overall pick in the draft. All the media and interviews are just to make it seem like they're trying. I think Kyle is tired of people trying to run him over.. Last game they lost to Florida... There was a lot of dirty plays off camera.. By Florida.. now Winnipeg feels they have to play that way. It happens every year.. Everyone gets frustrated.. then they come after Winnipegs forwards and you can tell. They're tired of busting their ass to make it to the playoffs then lose their hard work in the last two months.

We're seeing a lot more reverse hits in this kind of situation. Neither player has posession, and one checks the other out of the play. In some circumstances, the reverse hit could be seen as interference.

This is has nothing to do with KC and everything to do with the demise of the penguin franchise. Sid has done everything that he can for that team. Stands are empty. His farm team bruiser teammates don’t open the bench doors for him, they let him fight.. One of the goats in this sport being treated like some 3rd line goof. He’ll be gone soon enough, no reason for him to stay. Once the culture is lost the team is done. Brutal to see
