These boots look like those "serious" boots that your dad wants you to buy. Mizuno is one of the most underrated boot brands in the world as all of their boots are very high quality. I like the soft k-leather upper and the great stable soleplate. I also like how Jaymike says the boots are comfortable as they would keep my feet warm when sitting on the bench. I have never tried a pair of mizuno football boots so I hope to try a pair in the future.

At first, I can't see how this replace the Ignitus which is really great boot. Now, I understand that those kind of power boots aren't popular nowadays so they try to improve what they are best , K-Leather. These boots are really interesting and should be fun to try!
This is one of the best k leather shoes I have seen in a while. The upper seems super soft and buttery. The ct frame looks like it adds stability to the shoe and prevents the leather from over stretching and of course it is a mizuno mij product so there are no questions at all about durability. In fact I like the Colorway very much . I think the blue sock liner combines perfectly with the og black leather .

My first impression of this Mizuno Rebula boot is actually quite skeptical, because this boot reminds me of my first boot. My first boot was a local brand leather boot, and that boot gave me terrible blisters. I bought that boot when I was 11 years old for my first football tournament. Although that boot gave me awful blisters, I had fond memories with that boot. I scored a few goals with it, and that boot made me realise that I am born to be a striker. Give me this Mizuno Rebula boot, and help me recall the sensation of my first time scoring goals (but this time without getting any blisters of course).
I want these! My first impression is that I would love a pair, I love the classic leather feel, and incorporate memory foam and Mizuno's craftsmanship and you get these!
To be honest, I'm pretty bummed that Mizuno got rid of the Wave Ignitus because that was the last predator-like/power boot with striking elements and those boots are my favorite. I haven't really minded that shift into control boots like what Adidas and Nike have done but the Wave Ignitus was top drawer. The Rebula looks really cool and if you say the leather on it is very well made and is quality then I am not against it, I'd like to try them on my feet before I make my feelings about them known in full though haha

After reading the article about Thiago Motta that has worn Mizuno Morelia without any sponsorship make me wonder about the quality of the boot itself. Motta has opted to have his sponsorship fee converted into charity and it's really rare to see a player who truly believes in his choice of boots and helps others while doing it. After trying Morelia MIJ, the combination soft k-leather upper with Japanese craftsmanship ensure a close feel to the ball like a second skin. This makes my first touch control, dribbling and passing a joy to execute in every match I played.

Damn the Rebula just encapsulates Japan. Simple yet effective and elegant with added brilliance for good measure. Leather without stiching looks pretty interesting especially when you factor I'm that your entire foot is being supported by foam (along with the sole plate of course). They've come a long way since my first Mizuno boots and they look like a joy to play in.

My first impression of the Rebulas is that they will be extremely comfortable and durable. Additionally, the Rebulas seem to strike the perfect balance between modern showmanship and a more focused attitude. I am happy about the direction Mizuno is taking with this new release; classic looks with modern amenities. Although boots don't make a player and modern technology can provide so much assistance, I think these, with the soft leather upper, the adaptive foam, and the flexible sole plate will ensure the player wearing the boots is comfortable in possession. A+ from Mizuno!
People pretty much haven't tried the Mizuno brand yet. Well, my experience with the Mizuno boots ( the Morelia TF Q1GB1600 for exactly) was extreme, just like Jay Mike has always said: "the leather is buttery soft". The leather quality is phenomenal, I don't really think that any other big name brand out there could beat this "small little unknown brand" from Japan. And when the Rebula came, It just so cool to see such classic-modern fusion to the perfection, even the colorway (they also have the white/blue variation, which looks awesome btw) and all the tech inside look pretty much awesome as the look. Well, pricing is really high for a pair, especially the MIJ, but it's really worth every penny you pay for.
these look stunning. i had the mizuno wave ignitus 4 and always felt the panels rendered the the wonderful leather kind of useless on them. So glad to see that my prayers have been heard. Ignitus silhouette, leather, black and a "traditional" stud pattern, These look like one of my wet dreams :D
mizuno always have really high quality boots but a lot of people, me included, feel that their friends, that are not as into football boots, think boot quality is less on "lesser known" brands like mizuno so they would be mocked for spending a lot of money on mizuno boots when they think you could have got say the nike superfly 5 for the same price.
Lol, I have dozens of Mizuno's and dozens of NIke boots. Ask them how their superfly's are doing after 1 month. You really should be asking them, 'why would you spend so much on plastic boots that break and don't fit your foot anatomically or comfortably?" Everytime I buy Nike boots, they feel good the first couple of wears and then you see the soles separating or the last becoming all stretched and beat up. You should be mocking them, Mizuno's, specially the MIJ ones are the best boots out there period. Premium products don't need to advertise a lot and don't need to come out with 2 new colorways every single month of the year. They most certainly don't make their products in China like some of the other big companys either.
Captain Tsubasa 10 Of course mizuno's will last longer, they're made of thicker materials, although they're still solid performance wise, I will give Nike the edge in synthetic boots, just due to the fact that they're better quality in their FlyKnit and other synthetics
Superfly's are good for a few wears, but they're shit after that. The only ones I think that are good are the magista. The only one I haven't tried is the newest hypervenom, but I'd rather buy some MIJ Mizuno's.
The boots really focus more on what works for a footballer and opt for a no nonsense and simple design. The upper K-leather seems softer than ever which will give a definitely amazing feel while on the ball and the soleplate being flexible at the front means sharper movement while cutting defenders.
The Mizuno Rebula looks like a SERIOUS boot. Mizuno are probably the most underrated brand when it comes to the quality of their products. The Morelia and the Rebula both have some insanely soft butter on the uppers, and when they're made in Japan, you know that the quality is going to be insane. I would take the Rebula over an Adidas, Nike, or Puma boot right now, but unfortunately others wouldn't because they're so accustomed to believing that Adidas and Nike are the best brands out there, even though the quality is nothing compared to Mizuno's MIJ collection.
With a Mizuno boot there will always be top quality leather, probably the best on the market. The foam frame looks quite high tech and I find it really cool how it adapts to your foot. I can see they've implemented modern technology into a leather boot, putting it up on the same pedestal as the Legend 7.
I love the new Mizuno Rebula boot. I love all leather boots and the Rebula looks like the best to me now. I would love to try them and compare them to my Tiempo Legend 6.
wow! this boot is very very very very good especially for a very underrated brand! dont judge a shoe because of a brand, because this shoe, which is an underrated brand, can compete with nike's high rated tiempo 7. both have extremely soft leather because they have a fit thing inside the boot, so they wont need any stitching! this tech is new and a real good advancement for future football boots. im very suprised that mizuno (doesnt have a big budget because people dont buy their boots as much as other brands) can make something this amazingly soft, even their memory foam fit inside the boot is an original idea. that is actually crazy for a small brand. i cant believe this shoe from a small brand has made all of this original tech theyve made is able to compete with one of the biggest brands in the world. it might even possibly beat it! very good job to mizuno.
I would personally choose the Rebula because of the great amount of leather they put on the upper. also, I like the fact that the memory foam is the first thing that touches your feet inside the cleats giving you better lockdown and comfort. lastly and more importantly, you can't go wrong at all with the quality of Mizuno. their boots are one of the most durable in the market. i have a pair of mizuno monarcida MIJs for 2 years now and they are still in very good condition. in my opinion durability and overall quality are the biggest advantages of the rebula over the tiempo. cheers unisport! :)
Personally, I did a year in a cheap but pretty solid adidas gloro. Im going off to college next year and i need a pair of cleats that is more durable than an adidas gloro, but after a season of leather boots, i cant go back to synthetic. The touch and feel of a classic leather boot is almost addicting and something that cant be matched. so what interests me and is drawing me to mizuno is a mixture of a few things, i first off love leather cleats, next i really like the look of a modern cleat and the Rebula looks like a modern boot, and lastly durability is gonna be incredibly important for three a day sessions and games, and from what ive heard about mizuno, durability should be no problem. Im incredibly interested in Mizuno boots and love the Rebula based on this first impression. id love to have a pair of my own and after this video they are a serious contender for my next pair.
My honest opinion is that I'm incredibly excited for this release. I really did want to give the Tiempo Legend VI a try, but after seeing a large quantity of negative reviews about their tendency to rip very easily, I decided against it. Having had Mizunos before, I'm confident that these cleats will have a lifetime which far surpasses that of the Tiempo Legend, and that's why I'm so excited. They also look much sleeker, and more well made to me. Definitely hope to give these a try soon!
mizuno has always been a class boots ... I really like the idea of having the memory form under a soft leather, for non professional players like me ... it means once broken in, I'll probably enjoy my game that much more !!

Probably to TOP boot on the market. No one can touch Mizuno's leather and craftsmanship quality. Plus, you get a "synthetic" boot responsiveness and closeness to the ball but you also get a nice leather touch...with off center lacing which you dont get with leather boots as much!!! The last leather boot I've had with off center lacing was the Predator Mania. I think it might be time to get these!

The Mizuno Rebula is the king of leather boots! Once you Mizuno, there is no turning back. Mizuno has to be on the same level with other elite boot brands.

First impression: that boot looks comfortable. Honestly, it is almost made completely out of leather and it looks quite thin, like a Mercurial Vapor XI tech craft, but better.
I hope that Mizuno will get the attention deserved with these boots. I had a pair of wave ignitus an the general shape of Rebulas seems identical so that's a great. Plus now there's a k-leather upper which is always a good thing...the only thing that I hope is that the internal foam cage gives an important support to the upper, because, speaking of stability, I've always had trouble with classic leather shoes
Mizuno is just one of the best brand that produce leather boots so I wouldn't expect less from them. this new boots seems really comfortable and will also perform well so I would think that this one of the best leather boots you can get from 2017 so far.
Having sold my entire Nike/adidas collection just to start an all-Mizuno one might tell you a lot. I went from my reliable Magista Obra II to my now ultra-reliable MIJ Basara 101 and *nothing* even comes close to the feel, quality, and craftsmanship of a Japanese-made Mizuno boot. Fans of Mizuno (or those who have at least tried on a pair) know that the brand means business in the comfort and quality department, and that would be my first impression as well, now that I only have a Morelia II and a Basara 101 in my arsenal of boots. I would be much more happy to spend US$300 on a pair of Rebula V1s than the 'latest and greatest' mass-produced boot from another brand.

Great looking boot that sounds like it provides unbelievable comfort for a player. The concept is great and on paper it seems like a real competitor to the other leather boots on the market. Looking forward to seeing a review of how it plays!

This boots looks like it is really comfortable and light. I really love the design an the colourway... to be honest the blue and black blends in really well. This could be the most comfortable and good looking kangaroo leather boots ever.
I've always been a fan of the Mizuno brand but I think these really could provide a platform for Mizuno to break into the top 3/4 football boot manufacturers in the world. Really excited to hopefully be able to get my hands on a pair!

Damn the Rebula just encapsulates Japan. Simple yet effective and elegant with added brilliance for good measure. Leather without stiching looks pretty interesting especially when you factor I'm that your entire foot is being supported by foam (along with the sole plate of course). They've come a long way since my first Mizuno boots and they look like a joy to play in.
finally someone listened to my dreams! Memory foam for comfort and super flexible soleplate,this are the things that my ideal boot need. sounds cool, and looks cool!!
First impressions - it looks sicks. That upper looks buttery soft! Post review - I'm sold. These are a serious option. I know it's bad that I don't like them as much, due to it not being a Nike or adidas boot, but if I had the money to collect properly (I'm trying) I would cop no question. Quality video guys! My first impression of the Rebulas is that they will be extremely comfortable and durable. Additionally, the Rebulas seem to strike the perfect balance between modern showmanship and a more focused attitude.
I am happy about the direction Mizuno is taking with this new release; classic looks with modern amenities. Although boots don't make a player and modern technology can provide so much assistance, I think these, with the soft leather upper, the adaptive foam, and the flexible sole plate will ensure the player wearing the boots is comfortable in possession. A+ from Mizuno!

People pretty much haven't tried the Mizuno brand yet. Well, my experience with the Mizuno boots ( the Morelia TF Q1GB1600 for exactly) was extreme, just like Jay Mike has always said: "the leather is buttery soft". The leather quality is phenomenal, I don't really think that any other big name brand out there could beat this "small little unknown brand" from Japan. And when the Rebula came, It just so cool to see such classic-modern fusion to the perfection, even the colorway (they also have the white/blue variation, which looks awesome btw) and all the tech inside look pretty much awesome as the look. Well, pricing is really high for a pair, especially the MIJ, but it's really worth every penny you pay for.
these look stunning. i had the mizuno wave ignitus 4 and always felt the panels rendered the the wonderful leather kind of useless on them. So glad to see that my prayers have been heard. Ignitus silhouette, leather, black and a "traditional" stud pattern, These look like one of my wet dreams :D
mizuno always have really high quality boots but a lot of people, me included, feel that their friends, that are not as into football boots, think boot quality is less on "lesser known" brands like mizuno so they would be mocked for spending a lot of money on mizuno boots when they think you could have got say the nike superfly 5 for the same price.
Lol, I have dozens of Mizuno's and dozens of NIke boots. Ask them how their superfly's are doing after 1 month. You really should be asking them, 'why would you spend so much on plastic boots that break and don't fit your foot anatomically or comfortably?" Everytime I buy Nike boots, they feel good the first couple of wears and then you see the soles separating or the last becoming all stretched and beat up. You should be mocking them, Mizuno's, specially the MIJ ones are the best boots out there period. Premium products don't need to advertise a lot and don't need to come out with 2 new colorways every single month of the year. They most certainly don't make their products in China like some of the other big companys either.
Captain Tsubasa 10 Superfly's do fit your foot anatomically lol, and they actually last almost as long as mizunos

Captain Tsubasa 10 Of course mizuno's will last longer, they're made of thicker materials, although they're still solid performance wise, I will give Nike the edge in synthetic boots, just due to the fact that they're better quality in their FlyKnit and other synthetics
Superfly's are good for a few wears, but they're shit after that. The only ones I think that are good are the magista. The only one I haven't tried is the newest hypervenom, but I'd rather buy some MIJ Mizuno's.

The boots really focus more on what works for a footballer and opt for a no nonsense and simple design. The upper K-leather seems softer than ever which will give a definitely amazing feel while on the ball and the soleplate being flexible at the front means sharper movement while cutting defenders.
The Mizuno Rebula looks like a SERIOUS boot. Mizuno are probably the most underrated brand when it comes to the quality of their products. The Morelia and the Rebula both have some insanely soft butter on the uppers, and when they're made in Japan, you know that the quality is going to be insane. I would take the Rebula over an Adidas, Nike, or Puma boot right now, but unfortunately others wouldn't because they're so accustomed to believing that Adidas and Nike are the best brands out there, even though the quality is nothing compared to Mizuno's MIJ collection.

Mizuno, definitely one of the best when it comes to leather boots. Both the MIJ and MII are incredibly good :)
With a Mizuno boot there will always be top quality leather, probably the best on the market. The foam frame looks quite high tech and I find it really cool how it adapts to your foot. I can see they've implemented modern technology into a leather boot, putting it up on the same pedestal as the Legend 7.
I love leather boots and if the rebula is as comfortable as you say I will love it the design is fresh and simple I love it
I love the new Mizuno Rebula boot. I love all leather boots and the Rebula looks like the best to me now. I would love to try them and compare them to my Tiempo Legend 6.
wow! this boot is very very very very good especially for a very underrated brand! dont judge a shoe because of a brand, because this shoe, which is an underrated brand, can compete with nike's high rated tiempo 7. both have extremely soft leather because they have a fit thing inside the boot, so they wont need any stitching! this tech is new and a real good advancement for future football boots. im very suprised that mizuno (doesnt have a big budget because people dont buy their boots as much as other brands) can make something this amazingly soft, even their memory foam fit inside the boot is an original idea. that is actually crazy for a small brand. i cant believe this shoe from a small brand has made all of this original tech theyve made is able to compete with one of the biggest brands in the world. it might even possibly beat it! very good job to mizuno.
I would personally choose the Rebula because of the great amount of leather they put on the upper. also, I like the fact that the memory foam is the first thing that touches your feet inside the cleats giving you better lockdown and comfort. lastly and more importantly, you can't go wrong at all with the quality of Mizuno. their boots are one of the most durable in the market. i have a pair of mizuno monarcida MIJs for 2 years now and they are still in very good condition. in my opinion durability and overall quality are the biggest advantages of the rebula over the tiempo. cheers unisport! :)
Personally, I did a year in a cheap but pretty solid adidas gloro. Im going off to college next year and i need a pair of cleats that is more durable than an adidas gloro, but after a season of leather boots, i cant go back to synthetic. The touch and feel of a classic leather boot is almost addicting and something that cant be matched. so what interests me and is drawing me to mizuno is a mixture of a few things, i first off love leather cleats, next i really like the look of a modern cleat and the Rebula looks like a modern boot, and lastly durability is gonna be incredibly important for three a day sessions and games, and from what ive heard about mizuno, durability should be no problem. Im incredibly interested in Mizuno boots and love the Rebula based on this first impression. id love to have a pair of my own and after this video they are a serious contender for my next pair.

My honest opinion is that I'm incredibly excited for this release. I really did want to give the Tiempo Legend VI a try, but after seeing a large quantity of negative reviews about their tendency to rip very easily, I decided against it. Having had Mizunos before, I'm confident that these cleats will have a lifetime which far surpasses that of the Tiempo Legend, and that's why I'm so excited. They also look much sleeker, and more well made to me. Definitely hope to give these a try soon!
mizuno has always been a class boots ... I really like the idea of having the memory form under a soft leather, for non professional players like me ... it means once broken in, I'll probably enjoy my game that much more !!

honestly at first glance they looked pretty simple and normal. and yes, Mizuno is underated and i don't even consider them when i buy boots. but after looking at them in this video, i have a whole new different view on Mizuno and their football boots!! they look amazing and comfy :)

Rebula definitely will help someone with poor first touch ball like me. Top notch k-leather upper with enhanced foam frame supports improvement of ball control ability without interfering with flexibility and weight of the boot itself thanks to the Japanese innovation and technology.

Probably to TOP boot on the market. No one can touch Mizuno's leather and craftsmanship quality. Plus, you get a "synthetic" boot responsiveness and closeness to the ball but you also get a nice leather touch...with off center lacing which you dont get with leather boots as much!!! The last leather boot I've had with off center lacing was the Predator Mania. I think it might be time to get these!
I honestly like it. Have been a huge mizuno morelia fan since a long time but have been sad to see the brand as underrated. The touch, comfort and durability beat the tiempo legend by a long shot imo.
nike and Mizuno have revolutionized the way leather football boots will be made from now on, I think the creation of these 2 boots will influence boots made by every other company, kinda like when the obra 1 came out
The Mizuno Rebula is the king of leather boots! Once you Mizuno, there is no turning back. Mizuno has to be on the same level with other elite boot brands.

Mizuno MIJ is symbol of top quality, boots are made by god. I am happy to hear they produce another silo called rebula, these boot seems like very comfortable, and classic with full of modern technology. I hope I can have one in my hand now to play with these boots, so I can feel the soft kangaroo leather with memory form control frame on my feet. Just like Japan the company is very innovative and very technological when it comes to making great boots and also the people behind knows what the consumers want. The is by far better than the Tiempo 7 because it is like a true heritage boot and makes your Dad who tried it feel like he is wearing a copa mundial or a mizuno Morelia 2 and he knows that the future of football boot is bright. Jaymike you better put this in the top 2 best leather boot of this year.
Been wearing Mizuno since the first Wave Ignitus. They make quality boots and the new Rebula is no different. Looking forward to getting a pair and testing it out
First impression: that boot looks comfortable. Honestly, it is almost made completely out of leather and it looks quite thin, like a Mercurial Vapor XI tech craft, but better.
I hope that Mizuno will get the attention deserved with these boots.
I had a pair of wave ignitus an the general shape of Rebulas seems identical so that's a great. Plus now there's a k-leather upper which is always a good thing...the only thing that I hope is that the internal foam cage gives an important support to the upper, because, speaking of stability, I've always had trouble with classic leather shoes
Mizuno is just one of the best brand that produce leather boots so I wouldn't expect less from them. this new boots seems really comfortable and will also perform well so I would think that this one of the best leather boots you can get from 2017 so far.
Having sold my entire Nike/adidas collection just to start an all-Mizuno one might tell you a lot. I went from my reliable Magista Obra II to my now ultra-reliable MIJ Basara 101 and *nothing* even comes close to the feel, quality, and craftsmanship of a Japanese-made Mizuno boot. Fans of Mizuno (or those who have at least tried on a pair) know that the brand means business in the comfort and quality department, and that would be my first impression as well, now that I only have a Morelia II and a Basara 101 in my arsenal of boots.
I would be much more happy to spend US$300 on a pair of Rebula V1s than the 'latest and greatest' mass-produced boot from another brand.
