That swivel seat from the 59 is a real find. I've seen them selling for $2k.

I would modify the rear quarter wheel opening, that way you won’t be limited on what size tire you can use. Great work.

I’ll see what I can come up with.

I know you said this steering column fab was new to you. I have used those U-joints on many adapt jobs. The long set screws are meant to have a drill spot under them so they can't slip. I usually try to adapt a slip joint in the Double D so in case of accident the column collapses. The shaft that came on the chevy above the steering box has the slip built into it. I'm glad you moved the body back, I believe it will look better. Keep the videos coming.

Thanks for the tips. I’ll make sure I dimple the steering shafts for the Allen screws.

2:51 You seen what Kyle Carter (Carter Auto Restyling channel) wears in the workshop? That isn't a filthy hoodie..
I enjoy long-form vids, keep 'em coming!
pleased to see you addressing the wheelbase, although obviously this isn't Pebble Beach material you're aiming for, those rims have to sit right. Good work brother.

With welding onto the column and trying to keep it straight, could you put a sleeve on and have holes in the sleeve so you can tack in, keeping it straight and in place. Then take the slide the sleeve off and do finishing weld. That may not make sense, just spitballing.
