She made this performance to be ironic. The smartest thing that Konstrakta has done with this performance is that the conversation does not end when the performance is over. You can hear a lot of reviews saying “oh I wish she has done something NEW” and that is what the performance and the song are about - we always want and expect something NEW and BETTER.😁
Konstrakta is trolling you like the genius that she is. And you actually went and read the lyrics and it seems you still don't get it.
I think this is peak genius, especially when they trick the audience into thinking that they will repeat the clapping moves again and still do something else instead.
This is another multi-layered song with lots of ways to interpret it. Mocking of governments (especially their own, I think "novo bolje" or something like that was the slogan of their leader of government in the last election), health (again) or something else entirely? The performance is very similar yet still different. And it is fun. Fun in a very intellectual and artistic way, not in the very clunky and very on the nose way of many other entries. Before the shows I didn't want this to win. After the shows I think this should win, even when I think that she won't be top 5 again (especially because I think that most non-Serbians will not get it). But it's just such an artistic masterpiece that it would be a waste not to send it.
Out of all the songs for Eurovision or even preselections this is the one I had most fun with and this year even one of the few I had fun at all. This is pure gold.

The screen says 'Episode 2: Neither new nor better". At the end she screams: 'Here it comes! Dooooctooor!" It sounds like she is giving birth to a baby (she really looks pregnant at the beginning) and the baby (shiny bread, i.e. her art) looks like just baby Jesus.
People on stage are wearing napkins (kitchen cloths) now instead of towels, and waiting to consume her art saying: 'Not good enough!' She also mocked most of the audience that had been waiting for something NEW and BETTER. You should have seen her hugging a huuuuge loaf of bread (her art), wrapped as a baby, on stage, as if she said: this is my art (song), my bread, my child; I love it even if it is not new or better. This song is an upcycled sequel of 'In corpore sano'. They even tried to repeat the clapping in chorus but gave it up with good humour. 😊
I think this irony is on purpose. Some people even say that it is a mocking reference to their government.
@@Bundeskaiser I know. A famous slogan of the party in power can be found in the lyrics, the other one is just referenced to.

At the beginning she has two Biblical scenes (The Calling of St Matthew and Adoration of the Shepherds) used by like every painter in Renaissance and Baroque so why do you ask from her to tell new stories? 😏 Konstrakta is a master of deKonstrakting and reKonstrakting - the postmodernist queen! Genius. That's why we love her. 😍❤️😘😇😈

Well the song itself is about politics who promise change for the better but nothing bappens and its still the same. That is why she did similar staging but different enoughm i am in love with it and her mind is out of this world

another multilayer performance/song - i see a lot of her 'new better faster stronger' as mocking of poticians promising things in campaigns that never happen and theres lot of moments of anticipation in the song when is it going to happen - and then the screen says episode 2: neither new nor better, I mean lol and she chose like same performance as in corpore sano for this song to present the mockery its not that new nor better

Konstrakta had her momentum in 2022, when the whole Balkan region supported her performance.
Now in 2024 she's nearly repeating the formula and I feel it is too close to In Corpore Sano.
Please Serbia, do not send her again, it won't be so impactful as before and you have marvellous options for this year.
Bet on something different and refreshing...
