"a bit of a disclaimer... i'm not an expert!" .. the funniest line in the entire video, had me laughing out loud.. don't sell yourself short, you are an amazing builder!!!
The first 6 Minutes alone were worth the entrance fee. Breaking the parks down into their constituent parts gave me plenty of inspiration and scope for how to plan a park from scratch. Lovely job!
I absolutely love the idea of this series. As a console player, by the time pc1 released, the majority of youtubers were understandably done with the game. I found your channel when I got the first game and have been excited for your content on this game since it was announced. I love your build style, and it feels totally achievable for a complete noob like me. Another brilliant video, can't wait for more to come
I saw a model railroader call this tactic "realistic believability" the idea of conveying a scene that appears to sit in reality to the average enjoyer of this medium
@@obvious2886 that's a great phrase for it. Model railroading is actually great inspiration for in scale builds with proper details for theme parks--we'll have to talk about this!
Getting back into the game and have only been building single coasters while wanting to start a park. Looking forward to this. If this video doesn't do well, we riot.
@@airtimeaddict18 haha! I noticed there's not a ton of immediate hype about tutorials when they drop but I would love to see them just steadily grow as time goes on. We'll see!
This is a great idea for a series and look forward to seeing more. The slow pace and explaining is great. When are you going to let Mike in to move everything around?
Can’t wait for this series! I wish they could somehow create a mode with an era mechanic. My local park is Kennywood (RIP Logjammer) and it would be amazing to try to build a park organically with the constraint of different eras.
I have had PC1 for over 2 years and I just got PC2 on Christmas, my biggest struggle is building custom structures that look realistic and are in scale, so the idea of using a peep statue is going to help me a ton. I would like to see some real-time building because I have a hard time replicating builds when I don't know what steps were used to create them. When you said you were using SF Fiesta TX as your inspo park I got so excited bc that is my home park, it truly is an amazing park, they have done an incredible job with the theming on the rides and they keep their rides in great condition. I can't wait for the next episode!
Definitely hyped for this series!!! Never played an amusement park builder game before, but I went ahead and bought PC2. This is going to be a big help for me!!! Thank you Bandit!!
Hey, you could leave the center in front of the park gate free and move the ticket booths to the left and right accordingly. You could then pretend that the park has recently torn down the ticket booths in the center because there is no longer so much demand due to online tickets. This way the peeps have a clear view of the park logo. This is exactly what Movie Park Germany did last year irl. I look forward to your next videos. ;)
I will definitely be watching this series. I'm looking forward to seeing more/more specifics/real time build for building to scale. It's very hard for me to break away from absurdity that is the 4 m base scale in the game. I think a big part of that is dealing with the roofs on more realistic builds. Anyway, can't wait for more.
@@michaelw6222 I hear you... You have to actively fight the game to get what you want. The new counters and scaling are invaluable for building to scale. I'll be sure to show the process in a future episode
Phenomenal episode, this is really what I need.. One question. How did you get the scale/size of the parking lot? That is where I struggle the most is scale when beginning a park..
@@joshuagelet3513 honestly I just threw some asphalt down... I would guess it's not to scale. Once the park is much further along we can look into how much parking would be reasonable, but that's a ways off
So two things im having issues with in my builds is good signage (i know im missing a sign for height requirements and one for wait times but cant get them right) and decorating interior walls so videos on that or just hitting that in one of the videos would be helpful
please mix some realtime building and not all speedbuild.. so we can actually see how it's done step by step, a good mixture of both would be a great balance!
@@obvious2886 yes! A lot depends on your goals really. I struggle with big projects so if you noticed my completed PlanCo projects, most are smaller with hard, defined boundaries. BroAcres, Summerdale, Surfside, and Brazos square all had defined boundaries that I couldn't cross. Doing that immediately puts the project scope into something manageable instead of the often scary blank canvas of green.
This will be a great series. I believe you have to push the entrance even further back from the ticket booths. It feels too cramped, at least for me. Anyways, cant wait for episode 2!
