@@xekis well last year Georgia beat the dog shit out of auburn and Alabama had to beat auburn on a last play of game 40 yard bomb prayer pass, then bama turned around and beat Georgia very next week. Common opponent means nothing in this sport, matchups do
@@logancline7805 Ok then what else are you making the assumption on if not common opponent? Stats? TX is far and away ahead of GA on passing defense stats in the SEC. So in any logical metric you want to use other than just making assumptions based on previous years TX is better.

This going to be the craziest college season ever
If Georgia wins in Austin, this can be Game 1-of-2 for the season, unless Texas collapses in self-pity before playing two bloodiest rival games (Arkansas and a&m). If Texas wins out after any loss to UGA, they might meet for a 2nd game in the Conf Champ... and maybe playoffs, too? We'll have to see how many Texas QBs that Georgia injuries in those final games. If Texas wins, UGA becomes 2-loss UGA... but then again, the whole conference could end up with 2+ losses.
Georgia has the best individual Defensive Back, but as a whole, Texas has the better Defensive Back group. Texas also has the best Tight End group. Gunner Helm will likely be an All American this season.

And BROTHER, Georgias actually faced good offenses as opposed to Texas has not, especially when it comes to quarterback. Quinn Ewers looked like a liability early last week, difference is Georgia turns that into 14 points where Oklahoma only did 3. How does he respond to that? Does he go into panic or prevail. That neither of us know

Strongly disagree on the motivation gap take, Texas needs this game just as much as Georgia does, this is a huge validation game for Texas. It’s been “who have they played” all year, annoying but fair.
Georgia has everything to lose. A 2-loss UGA will be tied with all those other eastern-type SEC 2+ loss teams. A 1-loss Texas can still win out and control their own destiny. And I suspect no matter the outcome, this will be a Series Game - Game 1 of 2... or maybe 3 if a 2-loss team can make it into the playoffs.

The problem is, if Texas loses, a team that is 8th in FPI and 7th in SP+ will be the new #1. Oregon isn’t #1 and we all know it. If Texas loses, Ohio St should be #1 as they looked great all year including in their loss. Kinda like Clemson vs ND in 2020. Clemson always should’ve been higher.
