  • Hello viewers!. This is the MOMAN Desktop Mini Tripod. The company states that it can hold up to 80 Kg or 176 pounds. I bought this tripod for my soon to be arriving DJI Osmo 2. It seems to be a little late, Bummer!. I wanted a tripod that didn’t tilt or swivel. This doesn’t.
You have the option to buy the swivel ball mount separately, if wanted. This tripod is a tank!. I will buy the swivel ball month next month so I can use this tripod with my Nikon D5500.
This mini tripod is mostly CNC aluminum. The legs have cutouts for the straps to go through for attaching to poles, tree branches, etc. This tripod is built very well and the fit and finish is great. It comes with three straps.
I take away one star for not having the carrying case. It's supposed to come with a nice case. before uploading this video, I did email the company that I bought it from through Amazon. they apologized and stated that it was an error in the warehouse. They do not sell the case separately so they gave me an $8.00 refund for not having the case. i would have preferred to get the case but I'm glad that they gave me a refund for not having the case.
Overall, I'm very happy with this desktop mini tripod. The CNC machined parts, the allen head bolts look like stainless steel, the rubber wrap around feet are great for traction so it doesn't slide around. The fit and finish is great too. I will post the Amazon link below for the tripod and the optional ball swivel head mount.
UPDATE: 3-16-18. I originally ordered this tripod for the DKI Osmo 2 gimbal I had ordered. Long story made short, they placed me on a one month wait after they emailed me that is was available for sale immediately. I canceled the order and placed a preorder fir the Freefly Movi. The Movi ships out around April.
i"ll receive a small commission if you use my link. It will help my channel. thank you.

    Two things:
    1) You should never have to remove the thread adapter and risk losing it. It is spring loaded. If you mount something with 1/4" mount the 3/8" threads will be pushed out of the way.
    2) The tripod has two positions. The standard height, and if you turn the red collar the legs will splay almost all the way flat. If you go to the product page on the Moman website the first 3 product pictures are:
    a) Legs opened to standard height
    b) Legs closed
    c) Legs splayed all the way out to the low angle position.
Don't want to directly link to someone else's video on your channel, but Googling "A Mini Tripod You Can Stand On?!" will bring up a review that shows both these features.

I'm going to guess it's not comfortable to hold for long periods of time, because it's metal with gaps it it, and has no rubber grip.

Nice video! Very informative! I like that it was possible to see the product throughout the whole video and from different angles and in different situations and not just for a brief period of time.

Place one leg inline where scope is heavy to better support scope's weight.

Case? I don't see any case listed on the Amazon listing. I picked one up. Great quality and lots of clever features.

I need one for macro photography and have been looking at the Norman tabletop which has adjustable height. Would you suppose that’s of the same quality and can you recommend it? Thanks for the great video.

Philip Glenn Degaños I have no experience with the Andoer brand. They do look similar.

Troys Hobbies I see, but how is your Moman right now? Any known issue or problem using it?

Philip Glenn Degaños Not one issue. I use it with the Nikon D5500 and with my aluminum smartphone mount. I take it down to the river to film myself fishing. Still looks new.
