I beg to observe most respectfully, in the uttaraang, there are unmistakable shades of Gavati in this particular rendition of Bhimpalasi. However, notwithstanding such minor lapses ( I would most respectfully term these as "creative interpretations"), this legendary Ustad is the ABSOLUTE GOD of khayal gayaki! Not a day passes in my life without listening to his majestic, magical and divine renditions. Humble and respectful Pranams!
We are all used to the version of Ragas that were codified by Bhatkhande/Paluskar. However, when you explore the world of music, you will find that that many Ragas have been sung by stalwarts in a manner different from what we are used to. I have heard Vidushi Kishoritai Amonkar taking the sequence Sa Ga Ma in Raga Kedar, which is quite unusual. In Bageshri Pt. Kumar Gandharva has laid great stress on the note Pa, which again is something that does not fit into the standard model. Similarly, one may call this one as a Ustad Amir Khan's version of BHimpalasi.
@@psuhaskhan Agree with you totally. Bhatkhande ji and Paluskar Ji were not the ultimate sources of music. The exam traditions they started affected this. But In gharana tradition many ragas are used in many beautiful ways.
Gavati and Bheem are same some says. Some says it is different. How ever most of the structures are the same. Bheem and Palasi are two different ragas and many researchers know that bheempalasi should be rendered with the blend of both. Not the parrots who remember and vomit everything they learn as it is. Musician must be a researcher too.
you should remember that ustad ji's gayaki is not that appealing to the beginners. one has to go far long in indian classical music listening before liking Khan saab's slowest renditions

Who are those who can dislike ustadji gayaki...? Unbelievable..

There are 19 stone deaf idiots now. 😟
Everyone is entitled to his opinion. How are you concerned with that?
great
In the uttaranga he sings nSDP which makes it sound like Gavati. Quite shocking for an otherwise great artist.
