So apparently, the howling in the chorus is inspired by the fan base (Called Alphaz), during their live shows. This video has a lot of Michael Jackson references. Even the music, very similar to Earth Song. Even the concept of the video (Societal fall, and rebirth) align with Earth Song. Best way to learn who each one is, I would watch the Tapes, Vox and Move series that they have done. 4 Main rappers, 3 main singers (Even tho all can sing and rap) and all dancers. The choreo for a lot of their videos is done by Sienna LaLau. They are very heavily influenced by 90s RnB and Hip Hop. Ain't no one doing it like XG. Don't think that all their songs are rap-heavy like this or Woke Up, THEY'RE NOT. They do all kinds of genres - pop, dance, hiphop, RnB. They're a young group so they're still building their repertoire. For more hiphop, you can check out their other songs "Undefeated" (performance video) and "Grl Gvng" (not a full mv so you'll have to watch either their dance practice or lyric video for the full song) . If you want to check out more rap, the 4 rappers have short vids called TAPES/GALZ XYPHER where they rap in 3 different languages. In the Galz Xypher of Tape #2, Cocona was 16, I think.
So apparently, the howling in the chorus is inspired by the fan base (Called Alphaz), during their live shows. This video has a lot of Michael Jackson references. Even the music, very similar to Earth Song. Even the concept of the video (Societal fall, and rebirth) align with Earth Song.
Best way to learn who each one is, I would watch the Tapes, Vox and Move series that they have done. 4 Main rappers, 3 main singers (Even tho all can sing and rap) and all dancers. The choreo for a lot of their videos is done by Sienna LaLau. They are very heavily influenced by 90s RnB and Hip Hop. Ain't no one doing it like XG. Simon (their producer) has created a concept and they have stuck with it since their debut.

almost every group in kpop + xg (as a global group: Japanese members, though training and management is Korean, and aiming global market) have their concepts, there own universes, the lore. Which they portray through MVs or extra videos during comebacks. Stray Kids and Ateez also have their own universes with stories, their videos before comebacks usually giving hints for MV and telling the story.

Don't think that all their songs are rap-heavy like this or Woke Up, THEY'RE NOT. They do all kinds of genres - pop, dance, hiphop, RnB. They're a young group so they're still building their repertoire. For more hiphop, you can check out their other songs "Undefeated" (performance video) and "Grl Gvng" (not a full mv so you'll have to watch either their dance practice or lyric video for the full song) . If you want to check out more rap, the 4 rappers have short vids called TAPES/GALZ XYPHER where they rap in 3 different languages. My personal fave is "Nothing" (NORE) cover by Cocona and Jurin (they will bar you to death). I know Alphaz have mentioned that they can also sing so if you want to check out their vocals the best video for that is Winter Without You, live version on The First Take - there's an mv but the live version is so much better IMO
