Being a G37 owner i can proudly say, Go stock for interior quietness and possibly legal reasons, but i can also say i like the sound of the ark downshift,
One thing ya don’t seem to get saying the stock sounds better is that, “1. You’re not there in person… 2. Ark exhausts aren’t for the sound as much as they are made to create resonance and the perfect amount of blow back to the engine with the exhaust gasses and at the muffler it creates a resonance for a smooth output delivery while reducing scavenging.. 3.ARK created the rules for VQ engines and what the best is supposed to be!! 4. The last step to this exhaust for both sound and performance is to remove stock cats and get Resonated ark pipes! That mod alone with a paired ark exhaust or equivalent will give you 25-30whp!!! And last but not least if you’re here making comments like why don’t you do 3” pipes all the way, blah blah blah. These engines don’t like scavenging! They need some pressure in those pipes.. think of a dart gun and how it works. The smaller the pipe(exhaust) and the closer the size of the dart (engine gasses) is to that pipe it’ll come flying with more force and propelling the dart faster then it would if the pipe and dart were un evenly matched!!
Stock is a lil raspy. The ARK has a deeper, cleaner and stronger tone... Ill be switching. Plus with hp gains and cleaner look, how could stock be better???

This system drones around 2000 rpm on my 370z so if you are travelling at 30mph under load (up a slight gradient) then you need to try difference gears to avoid it. Its a pity really as I bought this exhaust and found that one exhaust tip sticks out more than the other. Ark and Tarmac Sportz offered no help to fix it. I now regret buying it. No chance of a refund as they deemed it used once I had tried it out.
i just don't like how it sits, it seems that if you lower your car, you are going to scrape the shit out of it (at least that's what it looks like, anyone here has it?)
igor sushinskiy NEVER delete a resonator on a g37, it sounds awful. I love loud and drone, but this can be easily achieved with High Flow Cats or even Test Pipes. the stock cats on a G37 are like mufflers of their own, its 2 cats per side basically.

The decibel range is different for the Ark and it doesn't sound as good via microphone to video. The truth is that in real life the Ark=Alpha, Stock=Beta. Unless you're into the cheap ricer sounds.
