  • A staple in gujju houses & one of my favourite ways to eat doodhi, this muthiya is a must-try!! This is my grandmother’s recipe, very easy to make & so so flavourful!
And a healthy one too as it’s steamed. So give it a try & tag @saltinall when you do💫
🧆Grate doodhi & squeeze out all the water. Prep the doodhi just before making the muthiya to avoid losing its colour
🧆Add salt, turmeric powder, hing, sugar, green chilli paste.
🧆Now add besan followed by thick wheat flour (known as baati aata). Add it in batches and mix well. (Ensure that you don’t add too much)
🧆Grease a sieve with some oil, and make logs of the doodhi mix
🧆Pressure cook this on medium flame for 3 whistles
    🧆The doodhi muthiya is ready!
🧆Once they cool down, slice them into thin muthiyas
🧆For the tempering, take oil in a pan, crackle mustard seeds, add hing, curry leaves, red chilli powder and the muthiyas
🧆Cook on a low flame for 3-4 mins and the doodhi muthiya is ready to be served
🧆Top it up with fresh coriander & lemon juice and dig in!
