      chad guerassio Jist turned 54 and am thinking about becoming a trucker. I love to drive, and it would be a great way to see the country.
      I retired at 50 but am bored a bit. To me every haul would be another adventure.
      Salivating at the Volvo 860, and the Kenworth 990.
      The Volvo is probably more practical.
      Have you narrowed your search?

    • @chadguerassio5558
      @chadguerassio5558 4 года назад +1

      Adam Vincz I love the look of the 990 and if I go flat bed that would be my choice. But at almost 54 myself I don’t know if my joints can handle climbing all over a load to tarp it down. If I go dry van 860 is tops on my list for space and mpg. I have been looking at KW, Pete and Freightliner trying to beat the Volvo.

    Is it same as a car besides the whole weight and trailer thing?

    • @achillespeleus2326
      @achillespeleus2326 2 года назад

      Well it's similar to driving a pickup with a trailer, but yes much bigger and you have to be very careful at turns due to width length and weight. If you have no experience with trailers I would suggest going to a CDL school, but you can do it without ofc if you are willing to.
