Oh thank you for the blending tool tip! So helpful!!

    2 tips:
    1. 2:04 Just take the 2 corners with the "direct-select tool" and the Press "S" for "scale". You can now scale symmetrical in without dragging every point alone.
    2. 9:24 You can create this triangle with the "Polygon Tool". You don't need to delete the extra points then.

Fabitalism I didn't know your tip #1. Never have used the scale tool. Thanks for this tip.

Good to know about the transperancy. Definately going to do it this way from now on! Thank you!

Those useful little tips(transparency issues, blend tool) really make your videos very much educational and unique. Btw I make my triangles by deleting a node of a square. Thanks for such awesome content and wish you a Happy New Year 💐.

Very interesting the way you put the shades with the blend tool. Usually I use the HSB mode in the color panel.

Awesome techniques! I love learning the little shortcut keys that you seamlessly mention as you're going along.
    3:40
If you want to ensure that the two top points of your liquid are aligned horizontally, you can create a large rectangle, position it over the area of liquid you want to get rid of and subtract that rectangle from the drink.
    5:48
Could you duplicate the liquid shape, position it in the layer panel over the ice cubes and straws, lower its opacity, select the entire glass and choose "flatten transparency" (Object > Flatten Transparency)? I don't know if that produces the same effect; I just stumbled across the option recently.
Thanks for creating these videos. You make my favorite Illustrator tutorials ever.

Teela, when are you going to show us the gritty texture brush in use ?

Thanks, Teela for this tutorial! I just got a graphics tablet and I'm practicing with the new tablet by following along with your tutorial! Now that I'm getting the hang of it, I'm learning all kinds of new shortcut keys while I'm learning how to use a drawing tablet. Haven't yet watched all of the vids on your channel, but I did subscribe! Do you use a drawing tablet?

I wish you had said what you did at 11:10. Not everyone has a Mac, and not everyone know all the shortcuts in illustrator........

Since it's vector, it's infinitely rescalable, so it can be whatever you'd like :)

Thank you so very much. I want to say that as a self taught graphic designer, your tutorials are absolutely fantastic and easy to follow. Your voice is CRYSTAL CLEAR, the instructions are not too difficult (from the way you explain them) and I love the fact that you zoom in whenever you are doing something, it makes it easier for us to go step by step. AMAZING. I want to sign up for your courses.
