Watching this again as a young adult made me understand the movie better. Napanood ko to way back as a a child and it really traumatized me especially the eye thingy nung doppelganger kase I've experienced it when someone imitate my dad's voice kaya pinaka ayaw ko talaga mga doppelgangers..
fan ako ng horror movies, mapa-local or foreign..ang ganda ng story at concept ng movie na to..original at mukhang walang pinagbasehang ibang pelikula lalo na yung faith healing na part ng tradisyon at kultura natin..wala pa ako nakikitang ibang horror movies na may ganitong tema bago ito ipalabas noon..bonus pa na si Miss Vilma Santos ang gumanap dito kasama ang mga pili at primyadong mga artista sa atin..ang galing!! salamat sa pag-upload!! 🤩
ibinase po ung plot structure sa Final Destination series although ung mga beliefs, pamahiin, etc. unique sa Pinoy culture. Panoorin mo ung Final Destination 3 dun mo makikita ung similarity especially dun sa sequence ng pagkamatay
@@dolpo5138 yes napanood ko rin po lahat ng Final Destination movies and isa rin yun sa naisip ko na similarity sa movie na to..parang sa ibang movies din like Feng Shui na isa-isa sila namamatay na very usual din sa mga horror movies..after all, halos lahat naman ng mga horror movies ngayon ay masasabi nating may at least minor similarities sa mga previous horror movies, which is inevitable din..what I mean dun sa "original" ay hindi siya gaya ng ibang horror na halos ginaya na..siguro hindi ko nabanggit at nahalintulad sa comment ko yung nabanggit mong movies dahil dito sa The Healing ay mas naging glaring for me yung nagpapakamatay sila isa-isa after killing some random people na hindi kasing common ng mala-grim reaper na concept..

I accidentally watched this when I was 24 or 25 about mid 20s. I was channel surfing after work and was just trying to look for something to watch. Gave up on looking for one and settled with this. I started on the scene where Vilma's father just finished her session with the faith healer. I had no idea this was a horror movie but the mood from that point was good that my guess was that it was a horror movie or suspense maybe. I must say after that scene the pacing was so good that I was hooked. It was a simply executed film with the right factors for scare, add to that the fact that I grew up in a family that believes in one and the reactions of the people here are spot on when it comes to faith healing. Really great film must say I think it did not get enough attention before. I watched it again after the tv run and it still got me. Mood, pacing, acting were enough to carry this to gold.
This is according to The Big Mug about the same color of clothing -In the start of the film, they used WHITE as their first color to signify neutrality or symbolize beginnings. This is similar to starting a painting on a white canvass. -The second color scheme BLUE started in the part where the rest of the characters went to the faith healer. This symbolizes the development of the film’s plot. The part where the main characters are being introduced and their involvement in the story takes place. -The RED comes next. This is the start of all the violence and death, the climax of the whole film. The transition from blue to red signifies the unraveling of the horror brought about by the curse. The part where the realizations of what is coming after them takes place. -Lastly, the Yellow. This is the scheme up to the end of the film. Like the color of sunset, it depicts the wrapping up of the story. This is where they try to tie the loose ends of the mystery, and try to confront and put an end to the curse.
As the film progresses to it’s ending, all the mysteries are now exposed. The story already presented its audience a clear solution on how the curse should end. All that’s left for the viewer is to wait for everything to fall into it’s place. I believe that on the last part, the film failed to keep the intensity. If you are the type that expects a major plot twist in the end you will be a bit disappointed.

At first i thought all about healing lang pero as i go along with the movie horror din pala na maypagka thrill. Mixed emotion, nakakatakot, nakakakaba, at nakakaawa. Pero at the end it also implies our culture here in the Philippines that we believe about "healing" we must think that in every things that we do there is always a karma/consequences. Most importantly, in this time we must think optimistic and do good for us to rebound good karma. Kudos to the director of the movie and to all the ARTISTS! 👏👏👏

I love that they named the healer Elsa, i guess as a reference to none other than Nora Aunor in Himala. Imagine if they actually got Nora for the role opposite Vilma. Would have been epic.

May sakit yung healer. Pinipilit nila kaya ganun ang nangyari 😔. De nila naisip na kailangan niya din ng pahinga. May kaakibat na kapalit pag inabuso din at de nagpasalamat sa ating Ama na Panginoon. At ang healer para de magkasakit laging manalangin.
P.S. kong ganun man nangyari kaya nangyari lahat nakalimutan nila ang Panginoon. Siya ang sagot 😔

What I am still trying to understand is the same color scheme the actors are wearing every scene. I wanted to know the story behind it and what the director and cinematographer is trying to tell us. Nonetheless, this is an amazing film! Still gives me the creeps.

Anyway. Good movie, galing nung pagka choreo ng color theme every scene haha. Kaso yung ending dun lang parang naging mehh. Okay na sana yung thrill factor na nag build sa kalagitnaan ng movie since napapakita dito yung mga pamahiin kineso about doppelganger, yung ending lang sa stairs with kim chiu medyo off. Yun lang naman, all in all good movie. 😊
