Nasto, you did the right thing building a villa for your young family. In the US young couple start with what is called a starter home and after 10 or 15 years they sell the starter hime and buy or build a bigger home. No need to build a McMansion at this stage. I like your Mother’s idea of a guest house/ small house.

Hi Nasto, you will never please everyone so just please your family. Now in my opinion, if you want extra income to secure you in building your dream house, just build about 5 big rooms connected to each other for 5 visitors in an air bnb. Let them use the outside toilet and the outside kitchen during their visit....
There’s no space for that many structures in that compound. He may need to acquire another piece of land probably closer to a shopping center for rental s like Airbnb. The 1k blocks donated can be saved towards the dream home.
But true, can’t please everyone.

Nasto development comes with a lot of issues so what the people should put ar the back of their mind that all this happens in between people and some you may know .so all of the people sorrounding all of you are the youth ,who are being driven by peer pressure in order to go to another stage of urbanisation. Change comes with the good and the bad .you will all learn from your mistakes and move on ,but also not everything you know or you see you put ot on social media ,use your phones very carefully as it is difficult to delete everything .just help each other to concentrate on development and progress. Check on what they call "confidentiality and privacy." EVEN CERTSIN THINGD MAY BE GOOD YOU CAB STILL PRESERVE THEM FIR THE BETTER .

Hello @It’s Nasto chain link is not allowed in many communities, bc of danger to children and animals. In our community we would use a wood fence. We would stain it in a beautiful color or paint it.❤️ 🇺🇸

Nasto my opinion is to add to that house that’s already there, you can even go on top to add on more. In the beginning I thought that house was too much to the back! If you started it closer to the road you would have a lot of space in the back for your kitchen garden, dog house etc. to add another house ! I don’t know, just add to what is already there. Secondly why not open up the storage room and make it a walk in closet? Just my opinion.
Nasto in my country those are built they are called cisterns, but the technique used is different. Stones are mixed with cement and poured into casings they last a lifetime. They are built up above ground and pipe is attached so you don't have to be drawing up water with pails.😊
You can still add on to this house. Nothing is impossible

I wouldn't say or did I say do not build. My suggestion would be finishing your current home, furnish it and move, relax for a few months then think about another project. Also, select a different place to put the building, where you pointed out would be too congested, a little further down.

I would use metal clamps made for attaching chain link to the posts. It will give it much more stability to the fencing. On the side where you ran out of fencing, add a door there. You can make it out of wood and use the same wood posts to attach the door to so it all matches.
We call it a diamond mesh wire. In Botswana we do put three lines of barbed wire before the diamond mesh wire.

Why are you using Water Culvert at the front? Do you have flooding or water drainage issues? You don't have to put bogwire if the posts are close. What you will do is just use staples to hold it strong to the post and stretch the wire stiffness to be strong.

From Australia here. make a simple timber gate where the chicken wire didn’t reach. You have plenty of timber . It will take you an hour and it will keep the ducks and the future chickens out

@gracekuria6333 - I saw Charlow and Linet implemented that last week. They have well water so is not concerned about water, but they did lay out the straw in their garden.

I love your progress. It's beautiful. I think you mentioned you are going to build a main house for your family. This one that you have can be the used as a guest house. For now I support building a storeroom then using the outside room that you are using as an extra room for visitors. Like one subscriber said you do not want to end up with a full compound of small small houses ...its not big enough and you will end up with no space and all the beauty you are working on will be gone.

Nasto where is the vibrator to compact the concrete and instead of plastering use non-porous tiles for the underground water tank to prevent water loss

You need to use a vibrator to avoit those holes. Concrete is very heavy whem wet so do it small height each day and do it all round the adjust the height of the mould.
You don't need the extra height of the chainlink, you can cut the extra height up all around and use it to cover remaining parts. No need to buy more wire

Put a structure where by your bedroom will far from the other rooms and amazing kitchen with with beautiful passeage, then within the passeage you and add other 2 or3 bedrooms with Bathrooms and toilets.
It is not easy to share one toilet .

The frail, bulging inner wall of the water-tank, the chain-link fence not being enough and Mama Ann’s absence causing no ready food for the masons; these are all accumulated stressors that’s preventable all at once.
Space/sequence your projects so that each is manageable with your time, money and effort.
Please pour the full wheelbarrow of concrete down the hole/side-wall of the water-tank, no need to be spending so much time with shovel-fulls each trip.
To avoid holes in the walls try borrowing the vibrating machine from Marwa to help the cement to simmer and fill the gaps in “the pour”.
Patching the gaps/holes are very unreliable as water and air will permeate any structural weakness with persistent exposure.
HOPE IS A LUXURY, VERY FRAGILE….make sure

@@BORNFREE876 @Its Nasto a refrigerator would help to have food for your workers. It would allow the purchase of sandwiches or other food that could be cooked or heated on the day of use. It’s not always possible to have someone to cook food.

I agree with your mom about having an additional unit on your property for guests to stay over. I would create a standard 'hotel' room setting with a combined bed and living room, bathroom, kitchenette (small cooking area), and dining. Perhaps a 2-bedroom option like the one you shared might work too.
On another note continue building your relationship with Ms. Fle away from the screen. Continue to separate RUclips activities from family time and bonding.

@@TheAfricanqueen My comment was based on his request for responses yesterday. Then, he shared his mother's opinion on building a house separate for guests. Either way, it is his compound; he will decide what he wants to do with it, without our opinions.
