My greatgrandfather worked at this Railway Station from the 1860's to the late 1890's. He died in 1903 at age 65. He lived in Culliagh and raised his family there. It was wonderful to visit there in 2017 with his gggrandson and ggggrandson. Thank you for this video,.

Patrick & Mary Keaney & Family lived at Brooklawn railway house and worked on the level crossing 1964-67, this old house now partly collapsed shows on this film at about 5.29 minutes, situated to the right side of the white cottage and in the overgrowth, at 4.25minutes old Jack Rafferty railway home still exists and was greatly extended, at 2.33 Liskeavy old railway house on left side, now fully demolished, The Keaney family also attended to the gates at this crossing. This railway line should be re-opened and the house rebuilt.

No greenways should be near lakes, rivers & the seas.

Strange that the line is still there.
That the vandals ( Iariann Road) haven't sold off for scrap

I'd love to see a similar overhead view of the Galway to Clifden rail line. It would be make a fantastic Grenway commuter route nearer to Galway and really add to our tourism offering in Conamara. I understand that some greedy landowners are holding up the whole project.

It must open to Tuam before going all the way on to Sligo/Donegal.

LowryTV Hi Alex ... as you can see on the footage we followed the path of the railway and did not approach or focus on any houses, please contact me directly so I can discuss your concerns in person.
