  • Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Feedline Chokes reduce or eliminate currents on the outside of your feedline allowing you to hear and to be heard much better. They keep more RFI/BCI out of your antenna and receiver and transfer more of your transmitted signal to the antenna for higher efficiency, the best antenna pattern and maximum performance. Hear and be heard with DXE Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Feedline Chokes! www.dxengineer...

I think they work best when you shake them.

Comments are interesting, but no one seems to get any answers from DX.

I have a 200 foot long inverted V doublet or therabouts that length anyways .. I have a legal limit tuner and currently have the older style DX engineering Model BAL-050-H10- AT Balun, This I believe is a 1:1.... I run this balun about three feet away from my tuner with a 3 foot piece of lmr 400 and feed the entire remainder of the antenna with 450 ohm ladder line out the wall and up the tower to the inverted V.. I do run legal limit here in candna and im wondering since this is mostly a non resonant antenna should I not have a 4:1 balun for my application would A 4:1 work better for my tuner..

Did you ever get an answer? Curious, since I run a similar set up, but moved.

The MC20-FC, is the performance the same whether I use it at the antenna or behind my tuner?

I have a 150 foot 50 ohm coax running to a yagi. I can get 1.0 swr around 100 Watts. I get a lot of higher reflected power when my Watts go up. Will one of these help? Which one?
