what a great tutorial! thanks a bunch!!! i have loved radiohead always.... seems to be all i want to listen to and play through this pandemic tide.... i have listened to them since the late 90’s but only saw them live once. blesssssss
i cant believe this has been up for two years and i've only just noticed. i've wanted to play this for ages now after watching your tutorial and practising for ten minutes i can. thank you
I dont know if its the song or your teaching but this is the first time ive gotten progress really fast when learning a song, maybe in a coupple off weeks I will be able to play it somewhat as smooth as you, dont even dare too imagine singing on top. But anyway, thanks for very good help.
@Dakitaru Thanks for the kind words! I'd bet thirty bucks that this is the way Thom plays it. And that's a big deal because I need that money for booze.
Yep. I was racking my brain to figure this song out on my piano. It looks and sounds SO simple, but there's some slight of hand magic going on I could not figure out and barely got glimpses of on Thom's video, (and I'm usually pretty good at duplicating things by ear). But then, my 21st century problem solver that was in front of me the whole time and my question was answered. I thought, hey, I'll bet there's somebody on youtube who figured this freakin song out. So thanks, drawboy!
LOL you got some notes wrong!! Just kidding, weird camera speeding up, huh? Anyway, good that you made the effort on the timing of the chord changes. It's really essential to Thom Yorke & Radiohead's material. Plus no other tutorial I watched seem to give a damn. Good job mate.
hi! i think Thom is using different downward progression... when u are at the first chord playing with the right hand G, F and E, G and F are played twice and E is played three times with B flat F played once for a nice transition... at least thats how it is from the basement...
I'm totally new to piano and I'm sorry if I'm wrong in advance. In basement video of Thom Yorke, he keeps pushing his fifth finger of left hand, until the other action of that finger. He also uses pedal actively. Am I right with this differences?

I have to say, this is the first tutorial of this song that actually sounds right! Great job, good explanations! ^^

in the live version the ending is a little different can you post a tutorial on that??? please?
Thom plays this differently during the Mercury Awards. Have you had a listen to that yet? I'm trying to learn this song from that video.
I love youuuuuuu, thank you!
Great tutorial :) and let me guess...that camera is a Toshiba, right? :P
Can you in a loop go back to the beginning? Your video truly helped.
What's the time signature
can't find the chord where he starts singing
He just went through all the parts fast. If you play the very first part he plays again you'll get the part where he starts singing
A lot of negative comments but no dislikes? That's odd.
how could someone dislike this? he plays it better than thom does
