- This DBZ Game is dead. Or at least thats what it looks like when you look at the player numbers for Dragonball: The Breakers! Seeing as im still a fan of the game I decided to jump into the game and see what if their latest update with adding the ginyu force as a raider really worked?

Not sure if you figured this out, but you actually get benefits if members of the Ginyu Force survive.
Guldo searches the map for players and gives Ginyu and HP increase
Recoome joins in every melee attack and gives Ginyu an attack buff
Jeice and Burter join in Super attacks and give Ginyu a speed buff
And Ginyu gets a free melee block for every member that is alive for a total of three free blocks
does the body change actually have a benefit or is it just a shits and giggles thing
@HyperShadow991 any survivor who gets hit by body change is reduced to level 1 and their level 3 is replaced with Ginyu

@@kutaoizumi4189 the graphics are bad, movement is clunky, netcode is terrible so theres almost always lag, if there is lag most true combos dont work (comet strike to meteor explosion for example), modders running rampant.
Gotta get that authentic breakers feel of 5-6 games as a survivor so you can play raider once against a bunch of level 150s
Ah man playing as survivor sucks, you get the worst teammates ever when you play as survivor. Then when you finally play raider, you get destroyed by a premade. Personally as a Raider I never really lost unless it was by a mistake I made.

I honestly think they should make it free and give everyone who purchased it permanent access to the battle pass thingy, that might save it

As long as the game survives, I'm all for it. I was not expecting to like this game as much as I do but here we are.
Honestly the game is pretty healthy, Doto only goes by Steam numbers. Both PS5/PS4/Xbox the que times are 1min or less, max 2min. The game is still alive that's why they updated it, they did a campaign of how many games the community could play for rewards and we far surpassed that in Season 2.
They need to add Squawks to the game that will revive it fully

Oh and The "20" players you showed was when the servers were down. There's a regular "300" players before Ginyu.
Not to mention the other platforms and international players.
I think the Ginyu Force are underrated as a Raider because they are amusing, and tough and force the Survivors to constantly adapt as they fight them. Also if you're a Xenoverse 2 fan spending time as a member of the Ginyu Force is some great memories.
But let's be real Breakers needs to just release Android 21 if they want to boost morale.

You really can’t judge the health of the game off the steam version, it’s plagued with hackers and bots that killed its player base.
Anyway like. I do wonder if you guys who say “this game is dead but I like it” are aware that you’re part of the reason for the conception of the game being dead?
They need to to add King Cold to this game. When you pick him, he automatically loses because he has no moves.
Honestly the game is pretty fun once you get the hang of it and its refreshing cuz it's "different." Ppl just shit on it cuz it's not the millionth fighting game of Dragon Ball releases. Glad they are bringing back Tenkaichi though since in all honesty Xenoverse is scuffed as hell, only enjoy FighterZ lately in terms of DB fighting games.

idea for a Janemba raid.
The raid would be themed around the demons/devils. The map would have 2 stages, one before janemba corruption and then one after. There would be 3 small "soul collection stations" around the map, with 1 large "soul cleansing machine" in the north.
Stage 1: Would be (spike the devilman) in which the raider would go around killing survivors and npcs for energy like normal. Once (spike the devilman) reaches max energy, (Dabura) will appear, killing him.
Stage 2: The raider, now (Dabura) would no longer gain energy through killing players and npcs, instead have the objective of destroying the 3 "soul collection station". Once all 3 are destroyed the raider, (Dabura) would be retired for the match. As a cutscene plays showing a meltdown at the "soul cleansing machine" for all players and the corruption of the orge kid turning him into (Fat Janemba).
Skills: Same health pool as second form cell. Stone spit move, in which he spit 3 projectiles out in a burst, stunning the survivors for 8 seconds. Flame breath sweep move for short/mid range. A normal burst move for defense. Ki sense.
Map changes: crystal beans will appear all over the map. If the super-time machine is present, a large crystal bean will incase it, preventing it from being worked on by survivors or passively gaining progress. This crystal can be broken by survivors for half the time it would take to charge the super-time machine.
Stage 3: The raider, now (Fat Janemba) would start at the north, the "soul cleansing machine". (Fat Janemba) would slowly gain energy, and after 5 minutes would transform in (super Janemba).
The raider can shorten this time by executing survivors or npc. 30 seconds per survivor and 10 for npc. Unlike other raiders (Fat Janemba) execution can not eliminate players.
Skills: (Fat Janemba) would be immune to all damage but still takes fair knockback for flurry melee attacks and slight slowing for large ki blast/wave attacks. The raider would be unable to fly and be pretty slow when walking, but would have great jump distance and a roll attack for movement. A teleporting punch move for short/mid range and a rapid fire cannon move from its belly holes for long/mid. Ki sense.
4 stage: The raider now (Super Janemba) can once again fly. Have perfect cell levels of health. And once again be able to eliminate survivors.
Skills: (Super Janemba) would be able to teleport long distances sometimes like using the survivors grappling hook, 2 times in a row. Flying sword slashes for his standard ki blast. His ultimate for fighterz, "needle light shower". Some portal strikes. A powerful upward sword slash for an ultimate.
It's fun when you have good teammates or the raider isn't super sweaty, I wouldn't say it's dead tho, the queue for matches aren't that long and you barely ever see twice the same players the same day

They keep on adding new raiders and maps or modes I bet it turns into a pretty popular game. Jiren, Cooler, Broly, Beerus, or Baby Vegeta would be cool.
I can think of stages for everyone except for Beerus it just does not work like even cooler probably armored squadron or zalza,normal,final,and meta cooler
@@gameuniverse5973 yeah the only thing I could thing of is for beerus to get stronger or use new moves each stage or something after a while, or have 2 people be raiders for whis and beerus that could be a good mode to add eventually
I can see jiren as a transphere, but as a raider, nah I don’t think it’ll work since he’s a hero of justice and he wouldn’t be going around killing civilians

Ive literally never heard of this game before, this must have had like 0 advertising, no wonder its dead. This game looks legit like a dragon ball episode, its hype af.
They did such a horrible job advertising this game.
They advertised it mostly to DBZ/S Fighting Genre fans who were OBVIOUSLY going to hate it.
Honestly, if they just focused advertising this to the general Dragon Ball fandom and Asymmetrical gamers: They would've hit the jackpot.
Not too late for them to start doing so... but it just feels like Bandai Namco aren't giving the Breakers team the budget/segment to do a proper advertisement.
Honestly going against the raiders as a survivor in my experience is usually me running around trying to supply people with senzu beans/BRDs/dragon balls. I'm that undercover combat medic that's waiting for the chance to revive someone or trampoline up and shove a rocket down the raider's throat to distract/stun them.
For the Ginyus I have to be extra careful because of how specialized each is. Guldo's rarely a problem, but Recoome's charge CLAPS. Jeice and Burter's combo attacks are AoE hell and require breaking line of sight. Ginyu himself (usually fully buffed) is a nightmare to deal with because at any point he can just decide to snag your body.

Whilst the game's not the absolute best and it has its issues it's fun to play personally but this game would be dead if certain people didn't want it to get better or play it in general

I wouldn't really call the game dead when i can get up at 2 in the morning and find a match within under a minute.
I play on Xbox, and the player base is much larger on there. I rarely run into the same players and I too find matches in less than a minute.
Yeah everytime someone brings up the player numbers it's usually the steam version of the game that has a small playerbase. The other consoles has a decent enough following that I can even find matches with in 3 mintues at midnight.
@@Eis_Cold I work nights, so I often play late at night on Xbox. The most dead time on there is about 4-6 in the morning PST, and even then it's usually a 2 minute wait or so. I hear Playstation is pretty good, and Switch seems about the same as Xbox.
I know the battle passes are free and everything, but there's little content that makes it truly worth grinding out (in my opinion), though I suppose grinding out the pass isn't an issue when they suddenly decided to extend the season by two months. Also, events being little more than short, secondary battle passes that add nothing particularly worthwile is kinda crummy, especially when the cosmetics are just stickers and color-swapped variants of clothes that already exist, instead of being original outfits.
Lastly, it SUCKS that they took out Raider-only queue and removed the ability to lobby up with friends with the chance that one of you could be the Raider. I can see why they removed it (itd be unfair to have a killer who let their friends win but killed everyone else), but it's not even that hard to bypass; you can just queue up at the same time as your friends and the chances of getting into the same lobby together is pretty high.
Really sucks that this game is going downhill because it's being handled and treated so poorly, especially when it's so fun.
*Edit: I wish they would add more cosmetics to Raiders than just color swaps. I wanna see Cell in a Hawaiian shirt and khakis, or see the Ginyu force in different battle-suit types (such as Cooler's Armored Squadron, Saiyan Battle Suits, etc.)

It's not dead as people think, sometimes the lobby glitches out and gets stuck. I get a game within a minute on xbox, not even close to dead.

They really have to find a way to bring back the playerbase because this game is on *LIFE SUPPORT* right now. Free to Play is the obvious direction, but they should give the paid players some excusive stuff/compensation if they do that.

They could save the game if they just let everyone play raider with their friends like they use to, until then I hope it suffers as much as possible, and this is coming from someone that played over 200 hours during Season 1 when me and my friend could beat each other up whenever we'd get raider
Ginyu is exactly what this game needed. Have you considered playing with veteran gamers? Those that play the game every day or week? I have 1k hours and know plenty of other who do as well.
Doto getting jumped by the classic 150+ premade team experience sounds like the scarring he needs to figure out the skill ceiling this game has

Well as dynamic as the Ginyu Force proves to be as a Raider rewarding the player by keeping the Force alive by buffing their attacks and yet keeping them balanced by...well posing so freaking long I don't think that's gonna save the game. Does make it fun to watch though! XD
Honestly one of the things that killed this game for me was not being able to choose which role i want to play. If i could choose between villian and survivor i would play more. Especially considering how buggy this piece of shit game was and that everytime i got my villian game the game crashed and reset my counter.

Like with Dead by Daylight: Give it a few years.
Dead By Daylight was barebones when it started (far less players, too). Years later: anyone who picks it up can have the time of their life because of all of the options available.
Same here. Once it starts getting up to Season 10+: new/on-and-off players will never run out of things to try. In a year or so, if this game continues past the one year-mark, you'll likely see more Breakers-only content-creators.

The game is dead until Raider Queue is fixed. Been dying since they announced Raiders Queue and didn't deliver.
No crossplay killed the game even before launch. I played the beta on xbox, nobody was on
Breakers probably would have a more stable player base if it was on Gamepass or the PlayStation equivalent, but they insist on a sales only model, so their loss.
The game is mainly dead due to how poorly balanced Ginyu is. Used to be fairly lively before-hand.
Everyone says that their fragility makes up for it, but in actuality they level up far too fast to ever make use of the fragility, or are encountered so early nobody has the dragon change to deal with them. It usually takes 2-3 dragon changes of the appropriate level to kill one member of the Ginyu force provided the raider plays with more than half their brain.
It is legitimately impossible to kill every single member with a good Ginyu; and then you get a level 4 with high attack and speed buffs that you just cannot beat due to the excessive melee blocks. Not unless the Ginyu in question uses absolutely none of the shout abilities that cancels stuns and knocks away survivors.

Team up with other players to take down each of the members.
KILL GULDO IMMEDIATELY. He's the literal backbone of the team. If he's gone, it's MUCH EASIER to deal with the rest. If you have Scouter or Telepathy: use it to hunt him down as soon as possible. Two Level 1s can take him down, but a skilled Level 2 can solo him, too.
Then take out Recoome when you're able to!
If you take out these two, Jeice/Burter and Ginyu are FAR EASIER to defeat.
Failing to kill either of them will make the rest of the game a nightmare.
Jeice/Burter AREN'T invincible, but with Guldo/Recoome backing them up: they're pretty much as strong as Super Buu (who's the hardest Lvl 3 in the game).
If all survive, Ginyu's near-impossible to defeat.
The point is: The Ginyu Force can't be beaten by hiding/running. Teams will have to play aggressively against them. Random teams can beat them, too. But people are so used to the other Raiders that they haven't adapted to the Ginyu Force's fast pace yet.

You know why its failing? Most people who want to play a dragon ball game, don't want to be underpowered, and that's what this game is, it's a survival game where you run from villains you wanna beat into the ground and show superiority over... This was never a survival series it's a series about fighting and getting stronger. While some people are cool with that, most people who think of a dragon ball game don't wanna run away like a helpless human.
I haven’t seen u play this game in awhile and why bring the Ginyu Force I mean they look clean but hell no I want Goku Black PLEASE BANDAI!
