Thank you bhaiya for doing this session. A lot of my doubts have been cleared for RBI Grade B. And Debaneel da told a great thing. We should do S.W.O.T analysis. It’s a good approach
Congratulations debaneel. Aapne RBI GRADE B and SIDBI ke interview ke liye kya preparation ki? Mock interview dena jaroori hai kya and agar dena hai to kaha se de sakte hai?
Hi, things asked in interview can be divided into 5-6 parts 1. HR questions specifically to u - e.g. meaning of ur name, tell me abt urself, why u want to join the organization, ur strengths, ur weakness, about the city u have lived in, why we should select u among the other candidates who have come here, and other questions related to u. Source of prep - u need to write these answers and prepare according to ur personality -- u can google HR Question and prepare answers to them. 2. About the organization for which u r giving interview - lets take example of SIDBI- Why SIDBI? Why u want to join this organization? About various functions of SIDBI? latest news related to SIDBI? various schemes of SIDBI? etc etc Source of prep - SIDBI Website and SIDBI annual report of last FY 3. Abt ur work or graduation subjects - In case u r working then u need to prepare properly abt the organization where u r working, ur role, what ur organization does, etc etc.. source of prep - ur org website and annual report in case it publishes. In case u r not working - then u need to be thorough with ur graduation subjects -- atleast basic questions and the interviewer might ask u ur fav subject and ask questions from there. 4. current news - U need to keep reading newspaper, especially last one month news before interview is very important (for rbi last 3-4 month news is important) - from the day u get to know u cleared mains u can start reading newspaper in case u dont have habit of reading daily newspaper. 5. banking static part - in case u r giving rbi mains then u will already cover these things, in case its other exam then u need to know banking terms -- u can refer any banking channel and cover the playlist of all banking terminologies -- repo rate, history of banks, mclr, RRBs, NABARD, SEBI, MUDRA loans, govt schemes related to banks, Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs) etc etc.. -- for this u can follow any banking channel and prepare the static part -- this is a one time effort.. once u have notes then u jst need to revise.. 6. In case u have any hobby then u also need to prepare for that.. 7. Luck - this is not in ur control but this also plays a significant role.. It might be the same panel asks totally a different set of questions to the next guy who goes after u and in case those questions would have been asked to u, u would have not done that good.. SO we need to accept this uncertainty factor, trust the process and keep doing our karma and leave the rest on god/destiny.. if u have done hard work u will reach the desired success maybe not now then after some years but we need to accept this and move on and be humble and thankful to almighty in case we get success in the exam and in case we dont, then say i have done my hard work, maybe this attempt is not for me but i will come again stronger next year or maybe try some other exams. Regarding mock interview it depends on ur self belief and confidence.. In my case, i had the confidence that i know how to speak as i have given many interviews in the past, all i lack is knowledge for which i need to prepare.. so for me mocks were not that important. But yes in case u have never faced a interview then i will say u should give one mock jst to analyze ur strengths and weakness and where u need to improve and then prepare accordingly.. later if u want u can give more mocks.. coming to the question from where we can give mock interview - i have not given any for sidbi but for rbi mock interviews r taken by edutap, anuj jindal and i think other channels also take but i didnt research a lot abt it.. after rbi mains result usually the coaching channels of rbi start mock interview of their students (which is free) and u can get to know through the video which is published jst after mains result.. I think i have answered all ur questions.. as i didnt mention abt interview in the video hence giving a detailed approach here..
Gst inspector in hand salary - 75k approx per month Sidbi in hand salary, perks allowances along with lease accommodation which it pays to landlord - 1.30 lakh per month. So yeah on the basis of salary, went for sidbi plus as i wanted a job in rbi, background of sidbi would help me more - wohi soch tha uss samai while taking the decision..
Bhai no disrespect to ssc cgl candidates. Mera already background tha quants mein (cat ka prep kiya tha 1.5 yrs), english mera strong hi hai.. out of 45 questions got 43 correct, maths and reasoning bhi theek tha and ek baar lucent parha tha.. plus mocks lagaya arnd 40 (in those 20-25 days) lekin yeah toh fact hai ki naya wala pattern se cgl mein English, and gk jiska strong hai uske liye accha hai. But 20 days exam ke liye prep tha, but waise dekha jaaye toh prep mein quants reasoning ka 2018 se kar raha tha as I was preparing for CAT. Ssc cgl is also a very tough exam and respect to everyone who clears that exam.
Debaneel sir, could u please guide how to practice precise nd comprehension? In exam they give long para, after reading para i forgot what i studied in that para. Could u please guide how to improve this? If u don't mind could u please give personal guidance on eng . Its a reguest sir
daily 30 mins give to newspaper editorial -- take an article.. read the para and if u dont understand read it again and jst summarize the para in 1-2 line in ur own words in a paper regarding what u understood from that para.. so say if there are 5 paras -- u summarize it in ur own words in say 10 lines -- 2-3 lines for each para.. initially it will be tough.. but make it a habit, like daily 30 mins to one editorial (it can be of any topic - not reqd that u need to read complex editorials at beginning - u can even start with article on sports section)... once u make it a habit and do it for 1-2 months, then u will see u will no more require to write things down in paper and u will be able to understand and recall.. the most important thing for comprehension is practice for which u need daily reading.. so if u imbibe the habit of reading say 1-2 articles daily from newspaper then u will see the improvement.. there is no shortcut to it..
I used to also follow weekly magazine of edutap and daily newspaper. Free sources agar chahiye then affairs cloud bhi hai, u can do daily ga from there.. agar yt se parhna chahte ho then daily u need to make notes else yaad nahi rahega in long term.
