As a Kiwi. Scott Dixon is our most successville international driver in our motor sport history .- others[ Denny Hulme F1 world Champ & CanAm champ. Bruce McLaren ,66,LeMans winner, CanAm champ @ McLaren Racing. Greg Murphy - multiple Bathurst winner .Jim Richards multiple Bathurst winner,.Brendon Hartley - LeMans winner & WEC ,FIA, World Endurance Championship.] ,Rod Millen multiple Pikes Peak winner.& Kenny Smith,and Richie McCaw,- Ed Hillary, [legends],- Mad Mike [Red Bull],- Michael Pickens,Barry Butterworth, [speedway] Steve Millen [Stillen Racing] ;. Scott Dixon has not got a raz a mataz personality , but is the quite achiever & leaves his talking on the track.[ice man] But as time goes on and history will reflect,that he is a Legend, and one of the best of Indy car champions.!!! 5 x times sofar & still counting..lol .

i go every year to this race. if you live in SoCal you have to go, but not for Indy, for the STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS. No joke the casters tell everyone that its basically the greatest event in racing. Also formula drift on saturday nights is just stunning.
The cars this year are simply beautiful. Loving the season so far as well.

Shlomo HaTalmid yes as f1 has gone backwards, with not putting the cameras in front of the halo,and sliding camera,and they should get rid of the DRS,and have let's,or have what indycars do with the over take button,I wish indycars raced at Monaco as well as long beach,or brand hatch, Silverstone,or Belgium
Very happy to see an intro like that, with time the Long Beach intro may be as iconic as the Delta Force intro.

Maybe because a part of the F1 only fans are ignorant toward other kind of motorsport and especially the US motorsport with IndyCar and Nascar?

I like Rossi a lot, but is it just me or does he not pass many cars on track? He seems to be more of a setup driver than a seat-of-the-pants driver.
J Dawg If you watched Phoenix, you would see that Rossi came from the back and a lap down to finish 3rd :)

the cars and the liveries are stupefyingly gorgeous this season....same for F1 2017 because there was no Halo, super wide and super long bodies as well as shark fins

Sebastian Bourdais pulled off one best overtakes i've ever seen. How he didn't connect with Dixon or the barrier on turn one is beyond me. Shame he received a penalty, rules are rules i guess.

There's a video all about it somewhere, but according to it, Indycar will go exclusively to NBC and part of the deal was no more streaming events on YT
Ok, but that still let's room for speculation. YT streaming could just mean the live streaming, not uploading content later on.

Rossi dominated this weekend, but so much of the race behind him was decided on pit strategy, penalties and pure chance.
I miss that beautiful red #6 car.
I have to say, I don’t like spec racing, but I see that there is a lot of competition! Maybe I will find a liking for it!

Place was absolutely sold out. So much fun. Indycar need to add more street courses and get rid of ovals and go to more cities. That is how Indycar gets massive. Silly to do them at places like Phoenix.
Indycar has a lot of momentum right now, but dropping ovals would be a mistake. Remember back to the final years of Champcar. Amazing cars on all road and street courses. It didn't last.
I like street races but did you watch the Texas oval race??? OMG I couldnt even blink, so much adrenaline. They could change some boring ovals for better ones

Great racing but is it just me or are the announcers using the term downforce improperly, saying Dixon is running high downforce for maximum straight line speed??

Smart Move on Dixons Crew, when you get the penalty aniways, he saved an extra pit visit. Compared to Bourdais.
Also why is the pit lane on the opposite direction as compared to the other races ?
This race track is too good for Indycar.

why are they lower downforce this year?
AL3X2580 they improved the underwing and reduced reliance on the front and rear wings to improve the racing. I think i remember Indy saying the underwing produces somewhere around 60% of the downforce. The cars are slower in the corners but drivers are able to race closer into the corners because there’s less loss of downforce behind other cars. In short it was to improve the racing and cut down on development costs.
I’d argue that the Monaco hairpin is the slowest corner in racing, but F1 is embarrassing
I hate to say it, but I honestly feel that Marco Andretti is getting a little out classed by the younger drivers. Maybe it’s time to start thinking about retirement! I hate it, but he’s getting older and hasn’t won a race for a long time!

All the money spent and not one driver mentioned his sponsors . Need to hire Michael Waltrip to teach marketing to the drivers

Bourdais has a very poor pit crew and pit strategist..he is always losing potential top finish due to silly pit problems..

I very much doubt it's slower than the Melco Hairpin. A turn so poorly designed it's considered a permanent yellow flag zone.
Anyway, between this and the way he lost at St. Pete, I'm starting to feel sorry for Wickens. Also sucks that Pagenaud didn't even make it to turn 1.

4 days for a full replay is good, Phoenix took over a week.
z00h I like to watch the replay without knowing who already won it... but after 4 days that's impossible. F1 always has theirs out within a day or two.

The 18 car got screwed by his own teammate who crashed before he could go to the pits Bordais could’ve won! I hate the rules for INDYCAR! They seem to favor the teams they prefer! I don’t like the fact hat Dale Coin let Bordais go after the 2019 season! That was a bad move! Now he isn’t in INDYCAR this year! Don’t know where he will go now! INDYCAR really sucks in that respect!
