Welcome back! Your voice is strong, and it seems like you have lost some weight. So good to hear that things are getting along. Take the time you need, your tips and builds have been inspiring.
I'm glad to no longer be alone in smelling my freshly printed books. I was having some sticker shock on these kits, but the batmobile got me over that hurdle. Cant wait to build this along with you.
Looks nice, I just got my 2nd pack for my Optimus Prime. Really great looking kits. Also, I just finished my 1/350 enterprise following your guide, and it turned out great thanks to you. Stay blessed.
Ah, I've been thinking about you lately Boyd. So good to see you back! This looks like a really nice Batmobile. I've been tempted but I'll wait and see how this turns out. I'm sure it'll be good!
WOW! Ok, this is awesome! Just subbed and I can't wait to start building! One of my favorite Batmobiles. Now if I could only convince Fanhome to do the '89 Batmobile! Can't wait to see you building this up Boyd, glad you're feeling betterish, cold aside!
Catching up on some of the videos that have slipped past me recently. Good to see you're able to be back to building again. When this kit was originally with Eaglemoss I was tempted to shelve my Enterprise D build (which happened anyway due to budget constraints) and start this one. Then Eaglemoss folded. I'm glad Fanhome picked this up. Still not in my budget right now. 😥
On the Delorean when you get to the interior of the car it is a lot of fun. At least I thought it was. The flux capacitor is a big let down though. But the rest of the car is pretty well done. I finished my Delorean about the middle of last year. Now I'm doing the ecto 1 and the bat mobile. Keep on modelin
Has anyone done the math and figured out what the TOTAL cost of this model is? It really bothers me that they don't say how much it is anywhere on the web site (that I can find, anyway.) I came up with roughly $328, (120 stages x $16.40 / 6 stages per shipment.) I don't think that's correct though...
There is a reason they don't put that on their page. Each stage (not package!) after the third is 13.99$US + 2.40$US. There are 120 stages. The first three are only 1.95$US, which means "117" are full price. So, 16.39$US/Stage multiply this by 117, you get 1,917.63$US. Starting with the fourth package/month into your subscription, its 6 stages per package, which means you pay roughly 100$US each month for 19ish months. And that's all without the extras... 💸💸💸
There have been MANY Batmobile designs over the years -- more than a few are very obvious derivatives of the 1966 TV design and it wasn't even the ORIGINAL Batmobile (that was a 1940s car design with a large rear bat-fin and oversized 'bat-bumper' in front) -- BUT the definitive Batmobile will probably always be the 1966 design.
Great to see you back at the bench, Boyd. Keep getting better!

1/8th scale? Wow!
That's quite a list of kits to build! I'm looking forward to watching you build them all. My only question... No Enterprise D?? 😆
Good to see you back!
Glad to see you back, from one blue ribbon warrior to another. Hopefully you didn’t develop any neuropathy.
That thing is gonna be awesome!
I think it's the best model of the "66 Batmobile yet. Will be a sight to see when its all done :)
