awsome video, i'm learning penhold grip, super useful!
Glad to help!
Awesome session thanks. ❤️
Merci pour la video. Tres utile aussi pour les portes plumes japonais.😊
For a jpen player this technique is even more crucial and deadly, i wonder why there are no more penholder player from korea in their national team 😢😢
Yep, i have the same feeling than you.
That works with all the penhold grips? I mean xu xin, Wang hao also blocked like this?
Nope, they use RPB mostly.
Ma Lin used to mix it up between using the forehand and backhand side - watch some of his old match videos and you'll see what I mean. Most modern penholders are reversing most of the time, however the forehand side for blocks is still useful if you get tucked up, or you're playing a chopper. I play a low standard of local league TT so I mix it up because I play against a lot of weird techniques, and people who play slowly with pips. Against these guys you can't always force the pace with the RPB loop or drive.
I want jpen punches to come back.

Just draw the face of the bat across the ball to create a bit of side spin and angle it where you want it to go.
