Thank you for talking about the impracticality of learning Mandarin. I always thought the Western hype to learn the language-while respectable-is overrated in terms of career and daily life benefits. A lot of Chinese speak conversational English, so it's not necessary to learn it in a professional context. Unless you have a niche reason to learn Mandarin, like, say, for dating purposes, then by all means go ahead!
The dating thing is a good point - the dating market is greatly expanded by mandarin fluency, and your potential value as a partner to chinese women is greatly increased.
@@RichardCoward same as this video but without video. Only audio of this video. So when you said word "video" i thought maybe it's on RUclips so i searched that title and came to your video and it's same as Spotify.
And yeah of course i found this video helpful. I am learning Chinese as my girlfriend is from china so for better communication and so that she can express more . So i want to know is spoken Chinese or written Chinese cost same time ? How to learn spoken Chinese fast(of course it take tme but maybe it's lot faster than written i guess )
thanks for sharing. If you want to learn it properly i think its important to learn written. I also think written is important because it helps to understand the spoken parts. For example some words use the same characters Zhong, but there are many different characters with the same sound. You won't know which are related. I think learning written makes everything faster. There isn't a shortcut in learning Chinese, just need to put in the time, and get a good 1 on 1 teacher can be really efficient
I have seen you in bilibil to pick the ear of the video is very interesting, but unfortunately my English is not very good can not fully understand, or I can help you write subtitles
