Can't say enough about karting. I've been sim racing since the 90s and there's plenty that I learned from that but there's nothing quite like being out on a track going to wheel to wheel with other drivers. Regardless of your age, Karting is generally the most accessible way to start racing.
Lol. Didn’t have his own gear? Doesn’t he have like 18 custom painted helmets at home? They are still certified for Karting they just happen to be more fireproof, but the helmets are exactly the same. Same can be said for race suit, shoes, gloves etc. I’m going to guess he knew ahead of time that there would be gear at the track for him, but I always prefer to wear my own stuff no matter the sport, as I know it’s going to fit properly. Plus, you make your sponsors happy. Love how he throws in there that at blows away virtual racing. Which it does!!!!
Except he gets paid to do racing, a very few gets this chance so i really don’t see point to bash on sim racing, it is true that is NOT reality but for must of us this is what we will ever have...so be cautious!
