This clearly puts Ronaldo at a disadvantage. While his larger mass, put's Messi at a disadvantage aerial wise, hence Ronaldo's greater aeriel threat.
If it was just for that then Hazard, Iniesta, Isco, Sterling, Fekir, Portu, Coutinho and others would all be as great dribblers as Messi. But Messi is on another level not because of his height but because he controls the ball better than anyone else in the world, because his reactivity is insane and because he is just the best dribbler of all time.

He could drop into midfield & distribute the ball effortlessly with both feet. I'd really only give dribbling prowess, as Messi's main attribute over Pelé & even then. Pelé was a world class dribbler of the ball.
