Old Millstone | Atta Chakki in Tugasi village | Pangarchulla trek

In Tugasi village of Uttarakhand, we found an age old system for grinding grains, which is still in use. The locals are using the kinetic energy of water flowing downstream to rotate the two millstones over each other & thus grinding the grains in the process. The grains fall from the top through a funnel.
