Yeah. It is a shame. I am not sure why they cannot make it work but I know the engine is very old so may not be working right with the consoles. The Series X has no issue of frame rates but the Lighting and shadows are worse.
Yeah, I think it has reduced tearing (frame blending was originally on by default) but to then give you the option to turn tearing back on seems "odd" It does fix it a bit but basically now highlights the frame rate problem that it does not appear to be able to hit 60fps
Hi Stuart, is this still the same today as when you made this video? I have Martyr on the PS4 and have considered grabbing the Ultimate Edition for the PS5 due to it being £12. 30fps doesn't bother me at all and that's how I play Diablo IV so I can have the RT effects on etc. Thanks in advance for any info.
I wonder how many people are assigned to this port at Nacon, because they seem to be a little out of their depth. Still I love that they are still supporting the game.
Not enough I think is the answer. Neocore have taken on too many tasks for their small console team. They are sorting the seasons on 2 platforms, sorting the patches on 2 platforms, sorting the DLC on 2 platforms, sorted the "upgrade" on 2 platforms and are in the process of porting a new game (King Arthur: A Knights Tale) to 2 platforms. Way too much for a small team. They should split their dev team 66% PC and then 16% to each console platform. Or even 33% to each platform
It is a very deep game and PC definitely has the best looking and running version. Most of what I cover in my videos applies to the PC as well. But some things have been updated on the PC that haven't on console. Glad you are enjoying it though.
It is definitely 4k but it does not "look" 60fps. In reality it possibly is, but there is stutter that affects the environment and NPC's. The background and character are butter smooth so cannot be framerate as those would also both be affected
The offline coop a) still requires an Internet connection and b) the second player has to play as a pre generated character, so they do not get loot or experience but level with you as you level. They have no passives or skills they can amend either. Nit ideal but at least you can play couch if you wish to
@@S2uBuGaming That sounds pretty bad ngl. The amount of actual Ps5 games really using the horsepower of current gen is frustrating af hahahaha. Especially coop games.
I think it is playable. You can see what the game looks like in my videos. There is a bit of screen tear and stutter but no huge freezes or game breaking bugs
The plan was for them to release the DLC in quarter 1 but as we know, plans change. Hopefully we will get it first half of the year, and I am pretty sure it will be at leqst, some time this year.
I think they just scam money from console players at this point. Released half baked game on last gen and said the hardware cant handle the game. Everything on console almost half year behind pc and said we are small team. Now on current gen, they charge $25 for an upgrade that cant hit 60 fps and put out a fake trailer about improved graphic by using pc footage. Almost every game i play offer free upgrade except fot some sony exclusive where they charge $10 like ghost of tsushima but most important thing is its a true upgrade better graphic, supoort on dualsense, etc. Now take a look at Martyr, even at the main menu of the game i can see the ugly shadow of my character and i wonder did they even try to upgrade it to next gen? This just straight port from last gen with worse performance.
I accept the performance and shadows and lighting are not where they should be but they definitely did some work. Physics, adaptive triggers and haptic all feel great. I think the publishers marketing again caused these problems over selling something that is not to their information. The annoying thing is the game is damned good fun and is currently the most 40k game of all those released before
Well said. I can’t fucking believe these companies that they think this is an acceptable way to treat their console customers. $25 for badly performing update that barely improves other things.
What I don’t understand is why did they release this new version if it wasn’t working and the new season isn’t even close. Looks like a straight cash grab
Yeah it is not a good look for the new Publisher at all. They took on the franchise to publish on the current gen systems but ballsed up pricing. As for the lack of improvements over the PS4 version, I really do not understand why it is so difficult. The current gen systems are more than powerful enough to run the game at Max PC settings and still get 60FPS
@@S2uBuGaming Oh I feel bad for the people who have it on PlayStation. Y’all got shafted hard. At least on Xbox it is working and it noticeably better. But it’s still an ONLINE ONLY game so not having a season to play is essentially not even having the full product
Damn I really wanted 60fps. I beat this on the ps4 and played some dlc. 60fps is all I wanted from this upgrade

I noticed it synced my trophies more accurately. That's it so far.
Yeah, only 1 of mine didn't pop and that was doing every type of mission on the star map...
These last updates have just been weird. Don't understand why adding a feature that reduces tearing resulted in more tearing

Just started playing this again on steam so far lvl 45+ and no clue whats, what but enjoying it

Does the PS5 have adaptive trigger effects when using weapons for example?
It does have adaptive triggers but they only seem to work on projectile weapons at the moment (I have not tried all weapons though)
@@S2uBuGaming cool, I thought it was just for foot steps. Also any new updates since the video? Is it running 4k 60 yet?

My copy came in at GameStop just can't pic up till Tuesday I found out I can play two players offline witch is great

Is there ps4 save data transfer to ps5? Is it automatically or do i have to it in ps4 version?
All of your character saves automatically transfer yes.
Is it fixed now?
Because it's on sale and i thought about buying it but technical reviews are devestating, notging recent tho :3
Not fully. The update fixed most Trophies but one still doesn't work and the frame tearing / fps on the game is still not right.
@@S2uBuGaming Hmmm that's sad ;-;. Is it playable tho? Like 40+ fps at least? ^-^"
It depends on what you think is playable. I can play it as it reminds me of the PS4 version....
@@S2uBuGaming That sounds pretty bad ngl. The amount of actual Ps5 games really using the horsepower of current gen is frustrating af hahahaha. Especially coop games.
I know. The issue with this game is it is my Nirvana of games. Warhammer 40k and an Isometric ARPG
Loved the game, but the performance is nasty poor
Hope they fix it on ps5 nowadays I'm sticking with the ps4 pro version cause it's way more stable.
I co.pletely understand. The haptic and improved physics are the only benefit of the PS5 version
Im just w8ing till S2uBu tells me it works without problems and I buy it… btw S2uBu please tell me when this will work :D
I will do, although I am not sure it will ever work as well as the PC version.
@@S2uBuGaming I hope so it looks great. Is it atleast playable? I need warhammer game on my ps5 asap.. :D
