I am here in Ottawa, one of my friends bought a Maserati on cash last week. What you are saying is totally true for only those who are struggling financially, but you cant say that the entire economy is struggling. There are people in my friend loop who came here after 2019 and are on way to purchase their 3rd house (mind it, they are not backed by offshore financial help). So, yes, problem is there, but where there is no problem. I came from India 3 months back, and it has gone crazily pathetic in terms of traffic, air, and even corruption. my brother lives in north delhi, mints over 24 lacs CTC in Deloitte hardly is able to save a penny, bcoz the cost of kids education is beyond our expectation. At least, we are backed by Canadian govt for these things. He spends 6 hrs of traveling due to traffic for an 8 hr job from delhi to Gurgaon, we don't face that. Yes, things are problematic here, but where in the world its so smooth
