just got the 8'10 speed, its a real well made board! the wood work give you the feeling to have some handcraft board, really nice and the board bags are a beauty also

+jonathan alstead Due to its good nose rocker the board surfed well and didn't catch. I did find that on some really steep sections or coming off a steep top turn. A little bit more weight on the back foot would bring the nose up enough. But compared to more traditional nose shapes, I think these will always have the edge when it comes to surfing steeper waves but the Speeed isn't far behind. thanks Reuben
Thanks for the detailed review. How does the Speeed compare to the other stub-nosed boards you've reviewed, like the Hypernut or Slate? Different animal completely?

But out of the feel of the boards we have tested the JP and Hypernut where pretty lively and more slashy. The Speeed felt a bit more locked in and smoother on the turns. Its a tough one because there all good boards, but it all depends how radical you want to go and what size board you are looking at? We would like to test the smaller Speeed too. Then we could test all three the same size and give you a real answer. Hope that helps Reuben
Hi, I was just wondering what the range of waves is the speeed can be used in. Is it for example more aimed at powerful waves or can it also be used in mushy waves that have a lot less power. Great review by the way.
+Peter van Griethuijsen Hi Peter, It seamed happy in both fast and sloppy waves. But it does go up a gear on the faster, ones and really holds you into the face. I would be happy riding it in all conditions. Thanks Reuben

Thanks Reuben. Demo'd the 8'10 Speeed yesterday & it blew my away. At 75kg I would go smaller, but now I know what all the hype is about.
I have the Sunova 8`5 Speed and Style 9`6 and just cant ride them enough, magic carpet rides to say the least
