Shy - Brave The Storm

My mum's favourite band from the mid/late 80's! 'Brave The Storm' taken from the 1985 album 'Brave The Storm'. Band members : Tony Mills (vocals), Steve Harris (guitars), Paddy McKenna (keyboards), Mark Badrick (bass) and Alan Kelly (drums). Buy it on CD - you won't regret it!! (Well, except me, cos my mum plays it all the time in the car and it's slowly driving me mad!!!)

There is nothing better than Shy. They made the best music of the 80s and all the reunion stuff is fantastic. Losing Steve Harris is something I will never come to terms with. He took a lot of time out for me when I contacted the band as did Roy and Tony and it's horrible to have lost the best guitar player and writer there ever will be, but the music lives on. Tremendous song this one.

I read your blog post dedicated to Shy. Is very good! It is one of the bands that I have the most affection for, I am surprised how underrated they were! And without a doubt, a lot of sadness to know that Steve and Tony have already left. Anyway I still have some CDs of his discography to discover, and his music will accompany me forever.

Damm, Alan Kelly is a great drummer, it is sad that Tony and Alan couldn't work together, add Roy and Steve Harris and it is pretty awsome.
