മുകളില് ആകാശത്തിലോ താഴെ ഭൂമിയിലോ ഭൂമിക്കടിയിലോ ജലത്തിലോ ഉള്ള ഒന്നിന്റെയും പ്രതിമയോ സ്വരൂപമോ നീ നിര്മിക്കരുത്;

അവര് അനശ്വരനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം നശ്വരനായ മനുഷ്യന്റെ യോ പക്ഷികളുടെയോ മൃഗങ്ങളുടെയോ ഇഴജന്തുക്കളുടെയോ സാദൃശ്യമുള്ള വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള്ക്കു കൈമാറി.
അതുകൊണ്ട് ദൈവം, അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ ഭോഗാസക്തികളോടുകൂടെ, ശരീരങ്ങള് പരസ്പരം അവമാനിതമാക്കുന്നതിന്, അശുദ്ധിക്ക് വിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു.
എന്തെന്നാല്, അവര് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സത്യം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് വ്യാജം സ്വീകരിച്ചു. അവര് സ്രഷ്ടാവിലുമുപരി സൃഷ്ടിയെ ആരാധിക്കുകയും സേവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവിടുന്ന് എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവനാണ്, ആമേന്.
