That little Vermeer loader seems to be invaluable for guys that do residential jobs in tight septic lots. That’s awesome!

Ive ran those little mini skid steers just like that before. They are amazing! Especially the diesel ones, a lot more weight than the gasoline ones.

This is great tree work from Johnny and his guys! Also reminds me why I love living in the country, because we'd just climb up there, and chain a couple big tractors to the tree at about 90 degrees from each other, and pull it over, then drag it to the burn pile in one piece! I'm just thinking about how much faster this would be if Tim could track his loader over and grab that thing, lean it over, and saw it up from the cab!

Back before me and daddy had our own tree business for my dads old bossman we was cutting a big oak by a house and we done cut the top out and all that was left was the base there was about 6 foot across and there was about 40 foot left of it we was having to hang it and lower it to the ground we was using big chains and they was holding it but daddy's old boss said let's try that new rope he got it was a 2 inch thick rope and daddy was cutting off only 3 foot at a time when we put that rope in there his old boss said it will hold more than that chain we cut off a chunk and it swung over the house and snapped it fell right beside the tractor we got lucky on that his old boss didn't want to use the rope for hanging anymore he said we will stick with hanging it with chains

Can't count the saw bars and chains I have lost over the years to people driving nails and other stuff into trees the worst is the bullets in trees. But the worst is when I worked in a local sawmill the bead saw (band mill) hit a porcelain fence insulator that had grew into the tree. When the band hit the insulator it sounded like a machine gun going off when the band started shedding teeth all we could do was hit the ground and hope we didn't get hit nobody did but damn that was one of the closest calls I have had in alomost 30 years in the logging and saw milling business.
