On one side you have these gems of people in the goverment, working to protect us. On the other hand you have the people in the parliament.
Also I noticed that this guy talks about being shot and wounded like he's telling a joke in a bar and almost tears up when he talks about his marriage failing.

The reason Derrick didn’t feel pain is because his body & mind went into shutdown shock mode, it’s what happens when our brain clicks into survival mode when death is near!
