The same discussion that’s been happening on sky sports for the last 10-11 years
They're really not willing to accept that united is a mid club now
@@nombobI know they keep doing it same with Chelsea and Tottenham all mid clubs with too much exposure
@@nombob
That's so so true IMO also? It's been like 11yrs since the last EPL and they've not really challenged for the title in that time IMO? Even when second it was a very far back second. Both times to Man City I think?
Newsflash for utd fans!!!
It's over.... sorry
@@eyesopen66115....tick tock!!
I'm so sick of hearing about it now
1. Underinvestment in facilities, both Carrington and Old Trafford are creaking and Glazers havent spent a penny on either.
2. Physio department, players being rushed back after injury and getting reinjured, shocking professionalism.
3. Buying/loaning players who are well past their best and hoping they'll refind their youthful form
4. Relying on 1-2 players to create magic for the rest, so many in the squad being carried for a paycheck
5. Teams not afraid to have a go against United and regularly finding a way through
Correct
And apparently Ronaldo was the cause of all these issues. The way UTD treated him was shocking
This is why United need to offload the baggage. Players well below the United standard. Which is everyone except Bruno. ETH and Jim are building from academy, a long sustainable flow of talent. Because United Tax is ridiculous these days
@@xerikl Notice how Ronaldo and Sancho wouldn't perform when Ronaldo was at the club. After he left then they performed. Then ten hag fell out with Sancho and Rashfords back to not performing.
@@howardmoon3075 idc tbh. Not a UTD fan but I am a Ronaldo fan
Have they not asked this question at least once a month since fergie left 😂😂
The fact that they've been asking this question for this long means that the club has a big problem.
The number 1 problem at united is failure to set the midfield up properly. There is a gap 3 Kantes would struggle to fill.
Ha ha...they don't have the legs to cover. More like they don't want to run
@@rasuladin9907 Nobody has the legs to play this system it's absurd. You could have 3 players with usain bolts speed and mo farahs endurance and it still wouldn't be feasible.
That’s down to our back line playing so deep, a press starts from a solid high back line which we don’t have with maguire and evans
@@omdwillieturnip8840 You are a clueless clown 😂😂 It's the defence what are leaving the gap !!!! If the defence push up any ball over the top the striker wins the race to the ball !!! Maguire, Lindelof, Evans and Casemiro are all too slow. It's either the gap or parking the bus !!!! United not having Martinez and Shaw is a massive loss. ETH system is the same system which Arteta uses!!! The difference being Arsenal haven't had the whole back 4 out 80% of the season. Their only injury in defence is Timber. Teams generally build from the back
@@omdwillieturnip8840 U18s play the same tactics and have beaten everyone. Ajax played the same system in both Eredivisie and Europe and beat way bigger teams than theirs
No system in the world can work with these defenders except parking the bus
Football has changed since Ferguson left, Manchester Uniteds reputation hasn't. At some point they need to admit, times have changed, expectations should change. Massive rebuild needed.
Colossal rebuild
Investment needed like Arabic investers find English or nearby investers else Man u won't grow
They’ve spend more than City already
It has changed and not for the better.
How many rebuilds will this be?
They say Julius Caesar gave the best speeches before battle but he never managed to give his soldiers a Pep talk
Man U just need to sell the players that are not good enough simple as the players have done this before and will if we sack Erick keep the manger and rebuild 🧱
They can't sell them because the incompetent non-football execs have given out enormous paypackets that no one else will match. Unless players will take a paycut they'll stay until they're out of contract.
We have sold loads of players since ole left and erik has got 17 players in nothing changed beucsee he can't coach or manage he's lost control
But rasford , shaw , maguire , basika, still there
@@aashikkc2964 so he’s not a good manager to manage 4 or 5 previous players that’s what your saying proving my point he’s not good enough
@@willtallis5275 that’s a very amateur way of looking at it. In his first season with a mostly fit squad we finished third with a trophy and reached two finals, now we’ve had a season of underperforming due to a severe injury crisis and you wanna turn on the manager already?? Plastic fan
The badge doesn't make them play better. Neather dose there history. The same happened to Nottingham forest. And Liverpool. Its 11 blokes kicking a ball.
The problem is Ten Hag's nonsense pressing system that constantly leaves the midfield wide open for transitions, not any particular player.
The Glaziers!!!!!!..........
Quite simple 90% of team not good enough to wear shirt

@@willtallis5275 lost thos e17 players and tell me if they all are at the club or you just use loans to inflate transfers. When a team does player loans it is mostly because they have inadequate depth. And also the dressing room changing doesn't mean the circumstances in the background have changed. The injuries are more of an issue now because the coach started implementing his playstyle this season and the injuries have thrown a spanner in the works for sure the coaches have all been set up to fail and ETH was always at risk of losing his job due to the takeover INEOS didn't bring him in unfortunately so would not likely feel inclined to back him. This club must realise all they have rn is a big name and they must do the ground work in terms of the football to succeed again.
@@SuperHarl007 he’s crap it’s that simple minus goal difference most goals conceded going to be the lowest place finish in the league ever injuries are no excuses he could set them up more compact and tight and stop playing players out of position when it doesn’t work yet he still doesn’t change anything he leaves them wide open and then tells us that 4 defeats this year already is not that bad no top manger would ever say something like that he’s lost control palace game was full of his players and he got battered yet again and last year couldn’t win away at any of the top 9 teams and got battered loads last season and now loads again this season he isn’t good enough but that’s fine you lot keep backing him and we’re so how many more of these batterings you can take
@@willtallis5275 we will take as much battering as it takes to get us back where we need to be just because the club is called Manchester United and spends a lot of money does not mean the team is good enough. We had Minus goal difference too before he came and finished around 8th or 7th so why do you think with injuries crucial players and out entire backline we should do that much better? Everyone is a tactical genius because the watch some RUclips analysis video of hypotheticals these coaches exist in the real life of football not that fantasy worls of "easier said than done" why did Jose decline he's tha master of being compact same thing happened to Ole immediately he tried implementing domination football tactics abandoning the counter attack model which is all these plaryers can do apparently same happened to Rangnick Van Gaal etc and the expectations on this club will make it a place where players do not want to go to just because we bear the name doesn't me we don't have to work hard for it. How do you expect a coach who came from a well set up club to get it perfectly at this mess of a footballing structure the club calls a setup. How do you buy a max 40mil winger for 85 and a 30mil striker for 75mil and think the coach is the problem. We always have a false good season or 2 and an even worse decline season each time and it keeps getting worse check the our lowest finishes after a good season keels getting lower after a manager change because it's never been about the managers it's a structure problem that the club lacks.
I . agree
WHY YOU ONLY GOT FOREIGN PLAYERS ON THUMBNAIL?
Well spotted!
Even Saeed TV is here 😂
It's the ABU playbook. They're laying the foundation to push for Southgate to come in. It's all an agenda
Excellent point! I mean we all know why.

Worst season of any manager in the premier league history... Duh the manager is the problem. No manager in history have been as bad!
Yeah man,we were flying before he stole the job! The fraud! 😂😂😂😂
Yeah we were class until we signed ten hag. You just a cl*an my friend 😂
Sir Alex finished 13th, 11th and 6th in his 3rd, 4th and 5th season at United. Sack him?
The problem is the gap between the midfield and defence is way too big so players like mainoo and casemiro can’t cover the massive spaces so players can easily through through united.
The title has been a question asked for the past 10 years and no one still knows. Even if you count the trophies they have won
If you look at United team is like a racing car who has mix parts from honda + toyota+ tesla and byd. Some how the owner never want full overhaul because is too expensive, they just want to change the driver and all the fans give unrealistic expetation to win the race.
65 different injuries, never been seen before
Don't rush them back then because the manager needs them as he can't coach his training is also hurting them
Spending too much money on over rated mercenaries
David Moyes available again, he just needs another go😂
May as well have kept him given where both West Ham and Man Utd are in the premiership 😆😂
At least he can coach
Personally think it’s 50/50 between the manager and the players
Love your style, keep rocking it!
I completely lost confidence in the manager when he signed Mount for 70m and gave him the no 7
That's a stupid reason to "lose confidence" in him. Does ten hag have a crystal ball to tell him Mount would be injured for the entire season?
@@howardmoon3075 not a single Manchester United fan wanted him or excited by this signing at all. Even Chelsea fans didn’t rate him, they got Palmer for much cheaper
I can answer the question to this video in one word "Injuries".
A convenient excuse. We've had injuries but it's a squad game. If we didn't think the players we're good enough to cover when so called first choices are injured why are they still at the club or why were they brought in by Ten Hag?
The squad is poor but cost a fortune to assemble. It's pitiful
Hope you are joking

Terrible owners. Terrible manager. Sancho going to the Champions League final, you couldnt make this story up.....Especially if he wins it😮
Chelsea fan here, weve had minimum 8 first team players out all season. Last week we played with 14 out. I dont hear any sympathy coming our way so expect that to be reciprocal.
yes mate but we’ve had all of our defenders injured
And you guys have the depth needed to play with players
But Chelsea have bought 19000 players over the last two years
*Chelsea are not MANCHESTER UNITED... Everybody loves to hate Manchester United*
remember last season when chelsea squad was so big they couldn't all fit in the dressing room 😅😂
The issue with injuries has been that they are so concentrated on defense. Having 9 defenders injured at the same time would destroy any side in the league.
Ten Hah has also managed the situation terribly.
As a neutral I can't deny that injuries has definitely played a huge part in a terrible season. We all know Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw would've made a big difference if they weren't injured
Can the media not just accept that United will never be the club they used to be.
Liverpool had more cb partnership in the 2020-21 season and still got into the top 4 we had Williams and Nat Phillips against Man utd and won that game 4-2 😂

What a segment. Fantastic insight, incredible journalism. Well done
The problem is ETH has never sorted that midfield out, you can't play 2 number 10's in the Premier league especially away from home - need some quick / ball winning Midfielders in the summer and probably a new manager too
You also couldn't play tiki taka in the epl till pep now I'm not trying to compare them. The club must show fauth in whoever the next manager because all the other guys have been set up to fail. ETH started implementing his style this season and the injuries didn't help. When Jose tried to be more dominant in his approach was when he lost his job same with Ole and Rangnick as you can see similar issues popping up we mostly do not have the right player profiles for these style's and recruitment makes that possibile only we lack any sort of recruitment plan leaving coaches to their devices ETH had little experience for the epl so will only go to what he knows that worked for him it's really sad a club like united has had no plan for recruitment for over a decade. It has all come home to roost and the manager is once again the fall guy.
@@SuperHarl007regardless of injuries, you can’t play Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes together in midfield. That was the original plan. He begged for Mount as his number one signing and now has realised he’s not good enough. And look at those stats they showed. Even with Martinez and varane together we concede the same amount of goals basically!
@@alexchurch5988 what stats at the start of the season with a sample size of 4 doesn't prove anything but the injuries affecting player fitness and all. It's easy to say stuff and think you can do better and maybe temporarily a new coach looks good for a season or two and then those whole scenario plays out.
Mount has been injured for a better part of this season and your narrative that Fernandes-Mount advanced roles can't work is a lie because they haven't even played together.
Besides,City played KDB and D.Silva without struggling@@alexchurch5988
There has been an emphasis on defense and goals conceded where they need to look at what happening at the other end. I actually feel sorry for our defenders, if we can't score goals, the pressure is on them to not concede and lose the game. We should be outscoring teams and taking the pressure off the injury stricken defense.
Can put any manager past or present in charge of that man u squad and they still won't compete for a title
they might compete for top 5 tho
@PJ-hl6eu they aren't that far from top 5, it's a bad season for them but not by much imo. Man u aren't a consistent top 5 squad anymore
@@patrickhanlon2325 really? because they finished 3rd last year
@@PJ-hl6eu that was a good season for them, still a top 5 squad nowhere near competing for the title
@@patrickhanlon2325 if eth had bought paqueta, kudos, kane, van der ven and even someone like macalister or lavia they would easily be a top 3 team. All available and for less than we actually spent. The real problem is coaching tho. 2 kantes couldn't fix the hole in eths midfield.
When can people (sky) just accept they’re a finished club? They haven’t been good since Mourinho got them second, and even then they were miles behind first
Ole got second aswel beating pep like 4 and times in 1 season everybody raves about arsenal coming 2nd in a 1 horse race last year
If you can accept that the team starts at the back, then having a CB pairing who played the most games with 6 is a real problem.
It is different if you alot of injuries across the team. Whereas United haven’t had any consistent defence, let alone a CB pairing, all season. With this in mind the entire team had to step up to defend and this is where I think the real problem lies as so many out of form players, some of whom don’t appear to be making the effort, collectively can’t fill the defensive void
I think there are a couple of players at MU who leak stories to the press. Both UK born players and they've been doing this for some time. They need removing. Speaking to someone who works in football media a similar thing happened about 18 months ago at another big club, an ex employee started leaking stories to the press (everyone would know his name) and when certain people found out this man was subtlety 'uninvited' from club events although he has returned once for a charity event. These people start slagging off the manager or staff/players which creates a lack of trust and it affects things more than people realise.
They may spent a lot of money bt the depth in quality is just not there in comparison with other teams with injuries
Wrong manager wrong defence wrong forwards total chaos total lack of direction even AFC BOURNEMOUTH won 3 nil at OLD TAFFORD the club is in free fall!
How is this relevant??? Goals conceded is a collective team effort and there are so many variables to over simplify like this 😂 tactics, opponent, type of goal conceded etc.
At least should have used xGC for a slightly more accurate view
Rashford needs an overlapping left back. No other team has been missing their entire back line and all their replacement defenders for the whole season. Mason mount was one of the most unnecessary transfers of all time
literally all that sky sports prem talking about , everytime the same thing about united
Other than injuries which is a major factor, how about the quality of the players in every position; under Sir Ferguson there were always superstars in every position:
-attackers: no martial, no rashford, hojlund is still way far from what a striker would do. Under Sir Alex; rooney/ronaldo/van persie rooney/berbatov, tevez/rooney, van nistelroy/rooney/ronaldo...
- defenders: no defenders stable vs Vidic/ferdinand/evra, stam/Neville...
-midfielders: dear lord: no holding/dribbling/acceleration, beckham/giggs/scholes/Keane...vs Mainoo?fernandes?eriksen/mount(injured half of the season and off their performances).
Not to mention the comparison with present teams like man city, in which they have the best players in the world in each position: Haaland, Silva, Phoden, Jones, Ake...
A lot have changed since Sir Alex have left, the other teams developped their qualities, in united the development was punctual and not longterm philosophy aimed.
Another factor was of course the FFP which limited the changes wanted by ETH, others were already developped when the rule was installed.
My biggest criticism for ETH would be that some players were brought and were not premierleague material, like malacia, sabitzer, antony, but i guess it happens with every manager.
Iiverpool went to the relegation zone before becoming champions, it took 10 years for man city to win their first title, Arteta was on the verge to be fired after 2 years before building up his present team. Every manager that came after Sir Alex didn't last 2 years, it's not a manager's problem, it's a philosophy that needs time to get installed. It's football not magic
Sky sports: What's going wrong at Manchester United?
Me: Nothing.
My 5c- Manchester United paid over the odds for unwilling players to come play for them. That’s the problem.
Nothing is going wrong. Keep everything how it is. The players, the manager, everything. If football is about entertainment, they are number one in the world.

Surely it's clear injuries are maybe the biggest factor? It's the big difference from last season.
Also I don't get that guys logic, because Newcastle, Brighton & Chelsea are above Man Utd the injuries aren't a factor? I'm a Newcastle fan, so did he miss our bad run of form when we had injuries? Also the same with Chelsea, who are in form to now.
Man Utd need a strong minded manager
CASE, MAGUIRE, CASE, EVENS .
Give some of the ‘academy’ kids a chance .....I’ve watched a few U18’s and U21 games and there are some promising youngsters!
Here's the ACTUAL answer.
The real issue United has is Sir Alex Ferguson.
They had their most iconic manager of all-time, who worked at the club for decades. He was an essential part of the operation. Everything revolved around him. Before he left there were made no efforts for a smooth transition. So when he left, everything collapsed into each other. Instead of setting up important parts around the new manager, they merely listened to his recommendation again to hire Moyes. Instead of setting up a system of a football director and what-not, so they could decide a vision for the club. They randomly hired Moyes with no experience at top clubs.
So Moyes came in and struggled because he was out of depth. Then they get Van Gaal, don't properly back him and he also fails. Same with Mourinho. And they made the silly decision to put OGS in charge who also was out of his depth.
They keep making wrong choices and have a lack of a structure. While a City for example built a structure by sniping away prime Barca's technical director for example.
Comparing any club to city isn’t really fair, no other prem club has that amount of charges alongside their success
Look at the bench..
Look at the playing XI..

Why is it that we should take any notice about these two lads’ opinions about Man Utd?. Injuries not important?
