So ghastly and cruel to make nasty comments about Tweedledum's behaviour; he is a genius and possibly on a spectrum of behaviour issues. The lights are also extremely glaring which he may find hurt his eyes and give him a headache. He's an adorable little boy and when he smiles his entire face lights up. Go Tweedledum! Xx ❤

Not true at all. There is nothing wrong with critiquing anyone. Just because you are good at something by no means makes you immune to being judged no matter what age. Also the people that are the best at things get judged the most , it comes with being great. If this kid or any person that wants to be great can't take it . They probably won't be great .

I just wish he wouldn't get so upset when he loses, because he plays so well. There's not very many kids his age who could beat him, I wonder if he knows that.

I think perhaps what people sense is an element of apparent lack of respect for adults in his behavior, although of course I understand the context of a competitive game is different -- the only thing I would say is that he's quite fidgety while playing, but his older sister Alice is the same -- I assume they will grow out of it -- otherwise his behavior seems fairly normal for a little boy, including the air of distraction that swirls around him

Kid blew a great opportunity to push his pawn advantage on the King side and overwhelm his opponent and all but ignored the opportunity, and didn't even protect his outside pawn (which could have eventually been a passed pawn and his ticket to victory), had 2 opportunities to move it out of danger of his opponents' rook and missed both times choosing instead to play inconsequential moves on the other side of the board. I've noticed this Yunker boy pays little attention to those pesky pawns especially if they are on the outer edge of the board, not realizing the importance of pushing them or even at the very least not giving them away freely to your opponent. I enjoy watching him play but gads its frustrating seeing him making the same mistakes over and over.

I really would like to meet the Yunkers parents/guardian. And the coach/trainer of these kids. Whatever your purpose in presenting kids into the chess teams and allowing them to continue to display emotions and characteristics that are not good, I would like to know. When behaviors are demonstrated, responsible adults/parent/guardian/coach should correct those behaviors! Instead, people continue to enable these kids and their disturbing behaviors and fragile emotional being. The one guy, who defends them, always point to their age! Well, now is the time to correct them…at their age! Their age is not an excuse to let them continue to disrespect what chess is…a noble game that breeds a competitive nature and teaches respect for it and your opponent. Win or lose! Now, I will wait for gerry to attack my comment with his curt responses. To be frank, I do not care what gerry adds.

Who’s to say that they aren’t being taught these things off camera? You’re making pretty wild assumptions about a child’s rearing off of a 15min video that shows him *only playing chess*. I’m sure people point out their age because that’s important. He is a *child* he’s learning; and hopefully he learns to have a lot more grace than you do. You have zero idea what he’s being taught off camera the other 23 hours of the day or any other day of his life that isn’t on screen. Simmer down. He’s a kid, he will learn and make mistakes (a lot) just like any other child. It’s sad that you’re attacking something you know nothing about. Idk what children you’ve met but none I’ve helped raise or watch have ever followed anything that was said or taught to them the first time. So….. relax 🙃 maybe find something positive to say or keep your rude comments about this little kid and his parents to yourself.

And he can easily grasp or understand complex concepts; but hasn’t yet developed self awareness / appropriate behaviors? Should he not be allowed to play chess?
