dude, they lost the ENTIRE tie in mere moments against one man, benzema, 2 years ago. i think "having an unlucky draw" had nothing to do with losing that game.
this year, with actually good coach, i was saying that PSG is a force to be reckoned with in UCL, big teams might have to watch out and i was also confident that they would beat group of death, which they did.
as much as i believe in PSG being stronger than real sociedad, i am still supporting real because i just like the damn team.

Great predictions. I'm still mad at my team Feyenoord that they could not qualify for the next round, they could've easily defeated Lazio, but Lazio just played it smarter. It wasn't pretty at all, but it was effective. It will be very satisfying to see Bayern eliminate them. The other Dutch side that did qualify, PSV, I really do not see them upset Dortmund at all. Yes, they are still undefeated in the Eredivisie, but they don't have their top-form anymore from 2023. Draws against FC Utrecht and Ajax, and the defeat against Feyenoord in the domestic cup tournament showed that they are mortal and vulnerable. But not just against those teams, also the wins against Excelsior and Almere City there were moments that they were playing awful. Missing key-players such as Lang and Veerman will not help either. And Dortmund is getting a lot of injured players back now, even Sancho is on schedule to return on time for the 1st leg. I see Dortmund win both legs actually, 1-2 in Eindhoven, and 3-0 in Dortmund.

I’m waiting for his take on that, he wrote Rangers off as having a straight fight with Sparta over second place or dropping into the conference league with Real Betis winning the group. Then we won it by beating Betis twice. Never write the Gers off in the Europa League our recent record is incredible. We have beat half the teams in the playoffs quite recently so last 8 and maybe even further is definitely possible.

Betis is what we call in Spanish "equipo pecho frío", also they might've expected with signing Isco and other players to fight in all fronts but they couldn't even win against a Barça in crisis in both matches of La Liga.
The most unpredictable group of UEL was the "group of death" B (Brighton, Marseille, Ajax, AEK) since it wasn't decided until the very last day and the seagulls started last yet ended leading their group in their very first international competition.

@@pequenodan1923 Thanks that was our first time winning a European game in Spain ever apart from the 1972 cup winners cup final and a nice return to Seville after the 2022 final. Betis ended up 3rd we had to win the game or we were in the conference league, took 10 points from the 2 best teams and 1 against the worst, same as the other time we beat both Porto and Feyenoord at home and drew away, but only took one point from Young boys.
