    what should be the spacing between the reinforcement and end of the beam in Abaqus? would it be equal to clear cover or effective cover? Please tell me the answer

    hello sir
    Sir i am B.tech student
    Sir i am trying to doing 3-point test on RCC beam in which i model a concrete beam as solid element and create hole between them so that i insert a longitudinal reinforcement as solid element in the beam.
    i am also using stirrups as wire element and embedded into concrete beam.
    Sir i am trying to give slip property between steel reinforcement and concrete beam therefore i use surface to surface contact and provide normal and tangential behavior (friction coefficient=0.45).
    but sir my file is not giving result as well as error.
    Sir, if you have time, then I am hard to send my abaqus file to you
    please please please sir help me in resolving this issue
