I don't have garden, but I have an allotment which I run on the same principals. It provides me with lots of food and a place to sit and enjoy nature. It's a joy to watch all the beneficial insects going about their day foraging. The birds on the feeders, scoffing the various seeds I've filled them with, and listen to the grass hoppers and crickets. Not everything is a huge success, but I see that as a learning experience. Mother nature is a wonderful healer of mind, body and soul.
I have much the same in my pacific northwest garden: Limited light, fluctuating marine temperatures, at the edge of a forest. I grow perennial edibles, herbs, hardy greens, including a perennial arugula (Arugula Sylvetta)Wonderful to see your garden. Thank you!🐇
Thank you - good to hear from you. Thnkns for sharing. I usually grow wild rocket too. I just somehow haven't done so this year but I will go sow some now! Maddy
Rhubarb - make rhubarb champagne once it's past its best for eating! Delicious, easy & very probiotic. I found a recipe online, on a NZ site, and halved the ingredients for a more manageable quantity that fits my brewing bucket & supply of swing-top bottles. Rhubarb has a much longer season than elderflower & the brew seems more stable & predictable.

This is so true. The garden is a great healer as well as a provider of food.

P.S. - also, not actually alcoholic - you're "stopping" it before it has a chance to ferment that far. Just nicely fizzy & refreshing.
sounds great! Do you have the link to the receipe?
