My retirement goal is to have a sanctuary where I can raise animals like those calves. Give them a safe place to live, thrive, grow and die with dignity. Provide all the love and respect I can offer.
Cows, pigs, chickens goats, etc. I’ll take them all!

Thankyou!!!I also brought my boy home at 2 days old in the back of my jeep,from a dairy farm that trys to find homes for their boys before auction or veil farm.Sitsue is almost 3 an so very good for me, everyone that can ,should have a steer to love for i hope 18 or more yrs.💘

Your one amazing man! THANK YOU for connecting the dots and realizing there is a problem. Unfortunately these babies suffer because of dairy and its not ok. I just hope more people would understand the consequences they create for these beautiful babies. Been Vegan 5 years and will never go back! The way to end this is being Vegan. Hopefully in the near future more people will realize this too.

Try buying oat milk or almond milk or any other substitute next time you go grocery shopping for your morning coffee. You may not find it as great as real milk but you will be so much happier knowing that you're not drinking a mother's milk that's supposed to go to her calf.
You mean juice? Milk does not come from an oat or an almond. Only females produce milk.

What terriefies me is people still today laugh out on animal cruelty videos and joke about eating a burger while watching such videos, I feel people who cant see pain for animal cruelty and treat cows in inhumane ways would do no different to the ones who love them

But the downside is that is if it isn't profitable they will kill them all since they see it as a liability. It's a tricky situation to fix.

In other countries, the males are reared for the beef trade. Veal is banned in my country (I couldn't eat a baby, no matter the species), but unfortunately not so in some neighbouring countries. Sending live livestock to be killed there is also banned after a _lot_ of protests. Any animals that will be killed for meat must now use the nearest abattoir. They aren't driven hundreds of miles, potentially ending up with broken legs if the driver stops suddenly.
Here, the little ones who will end up on beef farms are often sent to other farms to be reared in groups, then when they're weaned (as I understand it anyway), they go to the farms where they'll be fattened for market. Anyone who eats beef in any form cannot complain about this, btw. It's your demand that drives this. At least the babies aren't just shot and wasted. And there aren't separate farms breeding cows for the males. It's less wasteful of the lives. We don't have the sort of factory farming that you have, either. A lot of what's allowed in the USA is banned in W Europe and Scandinavia as being cruel.
Given the situation, this guy is a saint. I can't imagine how torn up he gets when he has to say "no, I don't have room". That would break me into a million pieces. I hope many more sanctuaries can be set up to rescue these little boys.

I grew up on a dairy farm, and it is unheard of to me to shoot the males. But this might just be the area I live in, but usually instead they are raised for meat. We don’t do veal in this area and we think that confining the animal to that small of an area is horrible. And that running and jumping around you see caves doing I’ve seen it done with calves, cows, fats, and bulls they do that most of the time when their in a new pen, no mater if it nicer or worse then theirs.

There’s nothing wrong with eating them. I’d start a ranch taking these male cows and raising them for meat and stud. They can live a good life out on the pasture, but then when it’s time, they go to slaughter.
Do you know how fast those "cute little cows who just want love" are going to turn into two thousand pounds of raging testosterone with horns? After the third time they try to gore you, burgers are going to sound awfully delicious.

Humans are great apes, which are lion prey. Nobody put you on top of any chain. The "food chain" isn't even a chain, dumb humans with hierarchical mindsets who can only perceive everything as ladders have coined the phrase. The food chain is a circle, a closed loop, nobody is on top. In the end of the day the biggest animals of prey end up as fertilizer for the plants.
