Did they take the horn off before sending it up to SM? I was hearing a new horn today, different than this one or the other three's horns, and since I live almost 10 miles from where Amtrak or UP goes through the valley, the only explanation is there's a new horn on the GP7, GP9, or one of the 70 tonners.

+Angelo Carmada, As of right now, 1322 is in my town being leased to the short line here SMVRR. The motive power isn't much, two 70 tonners and a GP9. The freight traffic has greatly increased so the demand for another loco was obvious. It'll go home after a while.

I saw that engine in the shell vile yard. Is there any way to know when it will embark again?

That was a beautiful sounding horn. Love those old Santa Fe locomotives! I used to see them all the time when i was a kid i lived within 1/2 mile of the Santa Fe (now BNSF) line here in Bakersfield, CA. Now i live about a mile from that same BNSF line (about 1/2 mile from the house I grew up in). I love it because I am within 3 miles bike ride of many great railfanning areas along that line! Check out my train videos and subscribe to my channel if you would like!

4:05 so what is the deal with the track there?

Nitsujy12345 it's called "Gauntlet Track". I'm guessing to have the train closer or further away from the platform.
