    Have a feeling I'll be making several of these. I can't wait to try making it into a dress. I do love the fact this yarn is dyable. Dharma has always been my go to site for the best dyes.

    Okay, I love this pattern, and I actually did start it. Just finished and connected the four triangles.But, I'm afraid it confuses me when and how do I have to turn my work. It's not clear enough when you were shooting the video. I stopped after connecting the triangle and I'll be waiting for your reply. Thank you so much ❤️❤️

    I LOVE your content. It is so easy to follow the instructions and you make beautiful pieces. I was hoping you could do a cardigan version of your fluffy short sleeved top? I’m still really new to crocheting and so I can’t figure out how to do it on my own. I’d love for it to be exactly the same as the original only making it a cardigan. Thanks so much for the great content!!!

I’ve promised to make one for my daughter in law and my five nieces. Have my work cut out for me. My only problem I have is that the seam tends to veer to the right.. what am I doing wrong? This dress is gorgeous, thanks for sharing it with us!! Is there a way to know how many stitches & rows I need to do if I'll be using a thinner yarn (say, fingering weight or a little thicker?) ?

    • @forthefrills
      @forthefrills  4 года назад +1

      Hi, since this pattern has a v-neck, if you can't meet gauge you'd have to rewrite the entire pattern to get a similar result unfortunately! You can experiment with adding more rows until the triangle = 1/4 of your bust measurement but the v-neck might be too low or too short. Since I haven't tried it out I can't guarantee it'll look like the sample unfortunately!

    Love this! I really want to make the dress but the yarn I want to use is DK (3..?), do I need to use a different hook size? What do you recommend? :) (also, I’ve been told I crochet tightly)

    • @forthefrills
      @forthefrills  4 года назад +2

      Hi Anna, the yarn is used is quite thick for a sport weight yarn so you might be able to get away with a DK. I'd recommend creating a gauge swatch and then adjusting your hook as necessary (if you have too many stitches per 10cm/4" use a larger hook or (more likely if you're using a DK) if you have to few stitches use a smaller hook). All the extra details + gauge are in the free written pattern on my blog (linked in description)
      Grace :)

    • @sarah4264
      @sarah4264 4 года назад

      I'm using a size 3 Lion Brand Coboo. I chose a G-4.25mm hook and it works fine for me. I did take the time to do a swatch of a couple different needles to check the gauge. It all depends on how loose you crochet. I think for this top, the stitches per inch is the most important. If the rows are close to the gauge, you'll be fine.

    • @forthefrills
      @forthefrills  4 года назад +2

      Hi Natalie, If you're based in the UK Drops Safran (has a bit more of a sheen) or Paintbox Cotton DK would probably work well. You want to look for a thin DK yarn or thick 5ply/sport cotton yarn.
      I hope this helps,
      Grace :)
