Kata probably saw this end coming for her dad. She's wiser than her years, and her father had been deteriorating.
He could have killed her twice and she saw him grab Cal in a headlock
@@04nbod Sure, that certainly didn't help, but that only happened once they were already on Tanalorr. I was more talking of what she already knew to be true before then. She's very understanding when you meet her alone before the Bode fight.
Well in general beeings that are strong with the force have a developed perception of the world, their surroundings and people, as Leia had in Obi-Wan series, despite their young age, so I guess the child is going to be powerfull and awesome 🤩
I actually felt so bad for kata she’s such a sweet child
*two people who love each other kiss in passion and relief after nearly dying*
Alyska: "tHaT wAs So RaNdOm AnD fOrCeD"
I mean given how barely concerned Cal looks during that sequence it doesn't feel like a kiss of relief lmao, it does seem kinda Outta Nowhere.
I seriously feels there could be something wrong with Tanalor, two group of people found that planet and only get divided by opinion, Dagan lost his Jedi way because his obsession to Tanalor, Bode is also obsessed with found a home for Kata that the Empire couldn’t find them, but when we meet him at Tanalor he feels stressed and become more aggressive. Merlin even said there is some darkness in this planet as well
Interesting, maybe the planet “enhance“ what you desire most
That would be a good plot for the third game
"Bode was too far gone, there was no redemption for him.."
Darth Vader in the background like -__-
I honestly find it funny how biases work lol. Many beloved characters have the mentality to sacrifice everything to protect their loved ones, and when they're the main characters we pity them. However, throw that same personality on a side character or villain, and we see how dumb it really is.
@@tyler-hp7oq sacrificing yourself is one thing, dragging everyone else down with you is another
29:56 smacks BD out of the way
Alyska: *your warranty on life has expired*
Kata could become Cals Padawan but imagine what she could learn from Merrin too!
Mama Merrin, Papa Cal and Uncle Greeze onward with young Kata.
The first of a new kind of ‘Jedi” (if you can still call it Jedi then) 😊
From Jedi Fallen Order to loving a beloved franchise and playing this game, it comes into full circle. Loving the growth of this channel and love watching your playthrough series for the chill vibes
Hope to see more in the future Alyska💛
The fact she beat this game with only 6 stims, I had all 12 needed 6 on Bode on Jedi Knight. And also barely leveling up is ready impressive. Bravo Alyce. Vader I had to switch difficulties lol.
Apparently the planet they’re on has a mixture of light and darkness, making it the first balanced force planet in canon.
Yeah, like Ossus from Legends.
Don't forget Odessen and Zakuul.
It’s not exactly balanced. Balanced between light and dark yes, but not balance. Balance in the force according to George Lucas is the absence of the dark side. Lucas has said that the dark side is an abnormality, a cancer in the force(he didn’t say those exact words but it was something along those lines). The light side is used by following the will of the force and the dark side is used following the will of your own
@@djw3512 Right. I meant as in light and dark.
I don't know but this is the first time I see someone dosen't like Merrin and Cal and I don't see how, they are great together.
Fr
Yea it does seem odd to most but to each there own even though at this point cal and merrin are the cannon versions of Revan and bastila if you think about it
Merrin saves cal from the darkness
Revan saves bastila from the darkness
Cal and Revan have seen the dogmatic view of the Jedi and understand that love and be a greater power then hate
Just personal opinion, I respect others who ship them so it’s honestly been a surprise about how much hate I’ve gotten for not shipping them.
I think if you look at it from a different point of view, it might make more sense, Cal and merrin are from two groups that are not big into the whole love and romance,
We have also had a five year time jump so there feelings for each other have had time to grow that we didn’t see, the book battle scares does flesh out some of these feelings Cal and merrin have to each other
And it just adds more to the story of cal and merrin kinda like Revan and Bastila in KOTOR
To each their own! :) It is nice to see a perspective who doesn’t ship them.
I’ve watched several other gameplays and your Cal vs Bode was the best fight I have seen so far. You brought up some good questions: Who was Bode’s master? Will Kata be Cal’s padawan? I love your hilarious commentary. If you go back through the game to complete everything, I hope you will make it another video series.
Thank you so much 🥰
I think Merrin and Cal will teach her together.
I like how he glanced at merrin before he takes the second shot.
I think they planned for a trilogy of games, at least with Cal. So far, I have yet to see someone go back to Coruscant when it became available again.
I hated that had to embrace the darkness vs Bode. I actually started the fight over again, kicked his ass without using LT+RT, and I didn't have to embrace the darkness. Love that they added the different outcomes based on how Cal fights. I started a new game with the intention of going Dark by the end...that way I can roleplay a bit.
Wait so you're saying that fight has a different ending if you don't press anything when "embrace the darkness" comes up?
Zee is quirky and many things, but certainly not a traitor.
that's a really good point about how bode serving the empire meant Kata would be forced to serve them too, I never thought of that
i do think bode's logic for betraying the team is consistent. even though I think he was genuinely willing to team up with Cal & friends to hide on tanalor, he feared that if the hidden path could operate there too, that the empire would inevitably find and reach tanalor, likely by infiltrating the hidden path. Which is the same thing that he, working for the ISB, had already done to Cal's crew
Actually I don’t think so, as long as you have the compass and nobody else knows this planet, you could always take a ship and go out do whatever you want, and when you in trouble just use the compass to travel through the Abyss and go back to Tanalor, Bode only need to reach his daughter how to fly a ship and use the Compass
@@yuqingchen9851 if the hidden path bases in tanalorr then you have thousands of people who know about the planet, highly likely for the empire to find it
reaching it is another matter, but at that point it hardly matters to bode
@@yuqingchen9851 thats the thing, "nobody else knows the planet" they were gonna tell a lot of unknown people about the planet, Jedi survivors, force sensitive refugee, families or people who helped the hunted ones. It was gonna be a matter of time before one of them betrayed them to the Empire, and with the Empire's resources getting a way to Tanalorr was more of a challenge than an impossible task. Bode wasn't gonna let that happen, there are no many planets truly safe from the Empire's reach.
@@Luey_Luey Of course the Empire will likely to find it, which is why I commented that is why Bode is so against it to the level betrayed Cal
@@granalmirantethrawn2972 Yeah, that is my point, my comment is to tell why I believe abode’s method could keep Kata’s safe against the point in the Video that Kata will serving the Empire
I also initially was 100% on board with Cal & Merrin and thought it was obvious but I think I know now why you feel how you do.
Cal is initially trained to be celibate and emotionless by the Jedi and then becomes a hardened survivor and rebel through his adventures, so he feels ambivalent and hesitant about love. He only reveals his affection and emotions in split-second "blink and you'll miss it" moments like the cutscene when you get on the spamel at the Divine Oasis, the "look into the fire" scene, etc.
Merrin is also very scarred, in a way shy and wary of others, and has a lot of sarcasm, so instead of the usual Hollywood romance where both sides show very clear and straightforward emotions, it's more like two reserved porcupines that are scared but trying to find each other.
Whatever your opinion is, it's your choice by right, I think instead of simply telling _what_ you feel, people will be more responsive to you trying to explain _why_ you feel what you feel about it. If you get weirded out by the romance every time, it can be distracting.
I’ve explained multiple times in comments and throughout the stream, and people still get mad. Not much else I can do 🤷🏻♀️
@@Alyska Huh. I (and probably many others) just watch the more cinematic moments, not all of every stream, so there is a very real possibility that many people miss the parts where you explain if it's not during the moment itself.
In any case, I think I get it better now. Even if I _feel_ differently than you, _logically_ I do agree it could've used more buildup for more universal appeal even if I _personally_ didn't need it. You certainly gave me a new viewpoint, so thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I can imagine being a streamer is hard because everyone hears something of what you say but no-one hears everything of what you say.
"Guide her through the darkness"
To me that all but confirms that Cal will take on Kata as his Padawan and train her on Tanalorr. There's no way that the story ends here. We need a trilogy! Who knows, maybe we'll even play as Kata in the next one...
The look on Merrin right before he kills him, like "You promised". because he said that he would kill him, when the "nice" way would fail.
Enjoyed this play through so much! Didn’t get to fully experience it on stream with work so have loved rewatching it here!
I ship Cal and Merrin but I do agree the timings of their moments were all off. I feel like their conversation on the cliff the night before Bode’s betrayal should have been when they first kissed, would have given them a few more hours of flirting and building up to the romance which would have made a big difference.
*LITERALLY* I beat the game at 1am on May 4th because I wanted to get that trophy for Star Wars Day.
As for the game, while the story isn’t as great as Fallen Order this is still one of the best Star Wars stories ever made. Just like in the shows Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi you can feel the stranglehold of the Empire getting tighter and tighter around the Galaxy. And while Cal (just like the fans) would want to keep fighting the Empire at a certain point you have to realize you don’t have the strength, resources, or the numbers to do any meaningful damage to them. So just like real life history, sometimes the only realistic option is to find sanctuary. Like how the innocent refugees of Ukraine, Syria and many countries in Central America have no option but to flee for their families safety.
And as angry as I was at Bode, and what he did was unforgivable, I did actually mourn him along with Cere and Cordova. He genuinely thought of Cal as his best friend. He convinced him to pursue a romantic relationship with Merrin, and tried to convince Cal to take only him and the crew to Tanalorr. Neither of those things were necessary for him to keep his cover intact. I feel the most sorry for Kata though. She tried so hard to convince her dad to surrender, but his ego and fear for Kata’s safety consumed him.
My hope is that Cal will (instead of rebuilding the OLD Jedi order) make a new order. Possibly the Grey Jedi. Cal literally wouldn’t have succeeded if he didn’t briefly tap into the Dark Side. And as a further insult to the old Jedi, the attachments that they forsook out of fear that it would make them fall to the Dark Side, in particular romantic love, is actually what pulled Cal back to the Light. And not only does he have a lover in Merrin but an adopted daughter now in Kata. And I’m not gonna lie, that last shot with Cere telling Cal to guide Kata and the camera panning down to her lightsaber broke me.
Also I absolutely love Merrin in this game and hope she is a co lead with Cal in Jedi 3 like Kratos and Atreus in God Of War.
Alyska: I don't ship Cal and Merrin
Also Alyska: " _We_ 're going to adopt Kata"
Well... It's been a wild journey in watching you play the entire game and I LOVE IT!!!!
That boba chair is fire
I won't let Bode disrespect BD-1 like that
Cal has killed more Jedi than all the inquisitor combined
how?
In case you didn’t know already, the lightsaber bode used was actually dagon’s, he took it after they killed him
I always enjoy your gaming adventures along with you anime Demon Slayer reactions! Keep up the good work Alyska!
26:35 After this point, peace was not possible... no parent attacks their own child like that, especially since she is technically the reason why Bode is so paranoid about being discovered by the Empire!
the way you make fun of cal and merrin is so funny, while i don't mind their relationship it does feel pretty rushed and weird at times
I'm surprised talking about getting demonetized doesn't get you demonetized. RUclips are annoying with their rules.
Bode was really hard boss fight at harder dificulty he didnt even use at you his insta kill move it when he rans to you and stick granade at your back he did it to Erin during the fight consider your self lucky sometimes he spawn it so quickly you cant do anything but its best to jump over him nothing else worked.
It has finally come full circle
Hello Alyska,👑🌹👑

as always I'm enjoying listening to you.👑🌹👑
I hope you are having a good Friday and have
a very beautiful weekend Thank You Alyska.
👑🌹👑
Okay then..
It was amazing your cere vs darth Vader reaction In the previous video
Revenge is NOT the Jedi way. Cal came for Bode for the compass, not revenge.
I feel like kata, merrin and cal will have a family type of relationship maybe like merrin will be a more motherly/big sister figure (she already displays some signs of it in one of the conversations after u beat the game she asks if she can learn to fight and merrin was all for it lol) and cal I feel like and hope he becomes a master/fatherly/big brother to her (I feel like he will be her master because in fallen order he was an apprentice in survivor he is a Jedi night so I assume in the third game he will be a Jedi master if they are continuing the trend) greeze will be like the uncle/grandma of the family trying to feed little kata as much as possible lol
Bodes plan makes no sense and Dagans motivation was not convincing at all, this games villains kinda sucked, but it is a fun game
29:55 No one hits BD like that and gets away with it!
no fictional story has logic, if you see it from the emotional side it will make sense, if you see it from the logical side it will never make sense. That's why the romance of Cal & Merrin is "logical" in the plot line of this franchise. :) Your opinion is understandable and also the reaction of your public to it, obi would be disappointed with you for not understanding jedi / sith morality, lol .😸
Pd : hey mods They should stop being white knights for her and that she learns to accept criticism or mistakes, because you do her more harm than good.👍
WHY TF DOES EVERYONE CARE ABOUT A FCKING ROBOT BD - 1 IS JUST A FCKING ROBOT
You’re an amazing player!!!
says damage is nuts...... those who play master and grand master be like 😐
I don't think you do understand what Bode's plan was, or why it could have worked.
1. I'll start off by saying that Denvik was keeping Bode's existence a secret from Vader, the Inquisitors, and the rest of the Empire; which means that Denvik was keeping Kata secret from them too. Denvik was the only Imperial who knew that Bode used to be a Jedi, or that Kata "could" be a Jedi.
2. Bode made this deal because the Inquisitors had already found and killed his wife. He knew he and his daughter could not run forever. And fighting the Empire? Even for a Jedi, that's suicide.
3. The deal Bode made with Denvik was to serve the Imperial Security Bureau - who are rivals of Vader and the Inquisitors - as a spy. "Denvik keeps us hidden, as long as Papa stays useful".
4. If things had gone according to plan for Bode, he and Kata would be living the rest of their lives together on Tanalorr. The Imperials would never be able to find them, and Kata would never end up serving the Empire. Bode never shared any information about Tanalorr with the Imperials, not even with Denvik. None of them knew about this secret, forgotten paradise world hidden behind a ship-eating nebula.
As for why he betrayed Cal and the others:
1. If Cal, Merrin, Greez, Cere, and Cordova, Bode, and Kata had all gone together - just the 2 families - on a 1-way trip to Tanalorr, they could settle down to live out the rest of their days there, and not have to worry about the Imperials ever finding them. Bode was happy with that arrangement.
2. Bode himself admitted that he can't run forever, and that he doesn't want to. And he obviously doesn't like having to be an Imperial spy either, or working for Denvik. He and Kata are already living on borrowed time. Tanalorr was the perfect place for him and his daughter to disappear forever and not have to worry about ever being found by the Imperials. If it had been only the 7 of them on a 1-way trip, he would not have betrayed them.
3. According to Bode, what motivated him to betray Cal and the others was their decision to share the way to Talalorr with the Hidden Path - "a bunch of strangers". I get his reasoning here. If he did not betray them, the odds are that there would eventually be another spy. Someone else would snitch, the Imperials would learn about Tanalorr, and then it wouldn't be safe for anyone anymore. A secret doesn't stay secret if you share it with thousands of people.
4. As I've already said, the Imperials did not know about the Koboh Array, the only way in or out through the Koboh Abyss, or Tanalorr.
5. Even if there was no other spy, the Imperials would eventually catch on to what Cal and Cere were doing. Think about it. They can activate the Koboh Array, fly through the Koboh Abyss, and ferry a boat-load of refugees to Tanalorr. But there is already an Imperial presence on Koboh. How many times can the Mantis show up at Koboh before the Imperials begin to wonder what keeps bringing them back? How many times can the Mantis show up at Koboh, activate the array, disappear into the ship-eating abyss and somehow re-appear again before they figure out that the array creates a passage through the nebula, and that there is something worth following on the other side?
6. Sabotaging Bode's ship at this point is pointless, because he has no intention of leaving Tanalorr.
7. Growing up on Tanalorr might be incredibly boring if it's just you and your father. But you know what else is pretty bad, being a fugitive and having to spend the rest of your life on the run.
But you realize at some point the kid will want to leave and do anything to do it. It'll be Borderlands 3 all over again. Keep them on an empty world, with nothing and no one else around. And all the kid wants is to go off into the stars. You are not wrong about secrets not staying secret, but to hide is to eventually be found.
@JDog2656 That's assuming that Bode has or will teach Kata how to fly the Z-95, or that he cannot simply disable it or lock it like you can a car, or that by the time Kata is willing to steal it that it has had maintenance and would remain in flying condition.
I suppose you're right about how "to hide is to eventually be found". But who's to say when that is? A year later, when an Imperial assault cannot be repelled? 15 years later, when Vader, Palpatine, and the Inquisitors are already dead, and the Empire is a shadow of its former might? Or 100 years later, long after Bode, Kata, Cal, and Merrin have perished?
So you constantly have a problem with the Cal and Merrin relationship saying it’s forced and doesn’t work but yet you wanted Cal to kill Kata at one point? That would go against everything Cal is. Wouldn’t that be forced and weird? Be consistent
She was clearly joking about wanting Cal to kill Kata. 😂 She would never actually want that. If you can't discern that which is so obvious, I don't know what to tell you.
@@adamparker43 🤷🏾♂️ hey never know but it is what it is.
I’m joking around 😂😂
After you have just finished the kung fu panda trilogy and finished the game watch the karate kid trilogy the 1980’s trilogy and there’s a series which is a sequel to it called cobra Kai watch that aswell
