That cook up looked real tasty mate😊. It was good to see Shannon get his pb snapper out there and I think sometimes when you go out with your mates and even though you're not catching a lot of fish; you're always having a great time having a laugh 😂...good to see. Tight lines 🎣
Easy fix if line has been threaded through eyes with bail arm wrong way. Take the spool of it's actually faster than rerigging n bringing line back through. Tight lines champs 🎣
Great video mate, it was the weekend for tempura batter. I had a few Australian Salmon from Budgewoi beach to get through. It produced much better than Norah Head boat ramp this time.
Mate the face match's the picture now I was slightly distracted at time to notice 😂 nice to meet you in person and thankyou for the assistance on the retrieve 🤝👍
Thanks for videos like this one. My wife and I love your down to earth approach, and genuine love for fishing, we are amazed at the conditions you comfortably take your boat into, we personally would prefer higher sides for more freeboard. But you make it look safe and easy. We also love your cook ups. Do you have experience as a chef? You seem very at home cooking.
Thankyou it means alot glad you enjoy 🤝 i definitely have sea legs 😂 . No but I have had a Thai gf and my family all love to cook, fishing and cooking are my favourite things to do. See you on the next adventure 👍
I like seeing the rods bent over but it's so difficult to know much about the length -n- composition of a rod..... not that's it's that important as nowadays I'd guess a lot of angler's have decent graphite or carbon fiber filled rods? In the late 70's was when we started getting graphite blanks & they were expensive....lol, all my stuff was lost/stolen several years ago & I haven't had enough to buy more so I guess I'm lucky to have the likes of your mates taking it to the fish, down-under style..... I wouldn't know where to start w/ buying a rod today & I don't mean the length, I've lost touch w/ what's what? Do you have a FAV composition for your rods or do you just buy off the shelf? I guess my asking is the beginning of me getting back to it ~ thanks for that man!! peace & I'd like a bite of that dish. Enjoy it for all of us. peace
I'm old enough to remember the 70's. Just. I don't think there would be many glass rods nowadays. They're all pretty good. Give them a wiggle and avoid overly sloppy rods.
Yep, I know that you were there. I remember the 1st graphite rods before you could buy them at K-Mart. We got blanks to build them & I did mean Kmart before Walmart destroyed that American Corporation. Yeah, I imagine as I start to look at rods(been 20+ yrs), I imagine most will be some form of graphite or composite that are far better than the "Glass" rods of old & I owned lots of glass crap. I wish you many more good years & I'm hoping to escape w/ a motorcycle & a couple of fishing rods ~ what more do I need? peace & GB
Get yourself plastic utensils or wooden ones to save your pans. On the recipe front Margaret Fulton decades back mentioned using garlic, ginger, honey and pineapple ( tinned pieces ) in such dishes.
Nice vid luke Shannon got a nice red! How you go getting the boat out on that ramp? I got bogged last year lucky I have a winch and use the rings on the ground terrible ramp good fishing grounds
Thankyou 🤝 I hate the ramp also 😂 I retrieved at high tide waves coming straight in, not much fun. I'm yet to get bogged there but nearly sunk boat once.
You should see how diabolical it is in summer , combine a big high tide & a strong noreaster when coming in & you are in a hellish predicament with over a metre of strong surge up & back , I have seen fibreglass hulls holed , big alloy boats picked up & deposited side on the trailer , legs smashed & hands crunched , a 12ft tinny is better as you can motor it up the sand on the top of the surge & winch it on the trailer on the side , high dry & safe . Prick of a ramp. Council should put in a short wall to act as a buffer , I think they were going to years ago & I heard the machinery got vandalised as the surfers didn’t want it , not sure if this is facts.

Look out for round 3 on this dish 😂 we had a great day well needed. Thankyou mate 🤝👍

Great tip!
Just don't drop it in the sand. 😂😮
@@redtobertshateshandles hahaaa definitely don't do that 😂
@user-zz3pg1bu9d I did it a couple of weeks ago. Arrhh. Luckily, I took two reels.
Just had a drag service to do later on.

A good all round rod would be 3-5kg 7ft. For land based a 6-10kg 10ft covers alot of different species. 4000-5000 size reel would suit these rods
I'm old enough to remember the 70's.

Thanks for the no non-sense info..... I'll take that straight to researching. peace

I know the Teflon killing me lol. That sounds like it could be the missing ingredient, round 3 here I come 😂
Morwong fillets need to be cut thin to allow the Iodine taste to cook out. About 1 cm.
They eat crabs, so quick bleeding and cleaning might help too.
We need a Sargent baker catch and cook. See what you can do with them 🤙
Dam right put them to good use 😂🤙
Awsme Luke keep up great content brah
Thankyou 🤝👍
solid flatty and snap. hows that ramp go with all the sand at the bottom
Cheers bro, I never been stuck there. Had issues with waves on the the retrieve a few times.

awesome video mate! do you prefer prawns or pilchards?
Thankyou 🤝 Pilchards seem to get that bit bigger fish, my favourite is slimie mackeral
Honey is way better for you than processed white sugar
I use palm sugar. The forests have gone anyway.
Asian shop is the go.
Some palm sugar is like rock though. 😂
Hey mate instead of sugar use sweet soy sauce
What size tinny have you got
4.6mtr
those butchers p....s aren't that bad on the chew!
