@Usuario cualquiera But in the Naruto series, people had multiple rivals (which in some cases is another word for friends due to how proud and stubborn ninjas are in the anime). Naruto had a prime rival in Sasuke (of course) but also shared rivalries with Rock Lee and Neji (who were rivals themselves) and Kiba (childish/one sided but still). Same thing in Black Clover

I am just laughing at how 1 slow tap from kawaki's karma pushed this guy into the sea without doing ang effort of resisting Edit: it was something else not karma
Is it just me, or did I find this episode really great? First, the art and animation. If i'm not wrong, this was done by studio perriot and Jiwoo, which are the top 2 studios for Boruto. There were so many background moments that easily had movie-like quality, from the waves of the waters, the destroyed buildings by the Funato clan, and even the rocky shores. They all have life to them, adding even more to the world building. The animation on the little scuffle with team 7 and 3 of the new ninja swordsmen (NNS) gave a lot of tension between them. It also gave them more character, especially Buntan, and Hebiichigo (actually starting to like her character just from her personality alone). The characters outside of Shizuma, Kagura, and Buntan in the first hidden mist arc felt like they were wasted characters. New characters introduced only to be thrown back into the bin once we got out of the arc. I'm so glad that we are exploring the hidden mist and the land of water again because this is one of those places where Boruto the series touches on the most. Can't forget Sarada and Misuki trying to capture the scientific ninja tool (SNT) puppet as well. It gave a lot of technicality to the puppets, which shows how much SNTs in Boruto have developed overtime. Secondly, Kawaki's drop of bad people doing things for a reason feels like a piece of information that will be taken to heart as we progress into this arc more. Kawaki knows fully well that everyone does things for a reason. Kawaki earned money for his dad, possibly to show appreciation to him, Jigen torturing Kawaki to prepare a vessel so Ishikki can reincarnate, and other examples such as Ao not having the choice but to go with Kara, to make up for his lost identity. It also complements the 3 NNSs' reasons for not going along with Shizuma. It's completely unknown so far, but they seem to want redemption. From the preview, it seems like Boruto and Buntan might have a chat, which can open up to Boruto finding the trust in the NNSs that he currently us lacking. Thirdly, speaking of trust, we see a lot of Boruto's influence on Kagura and how it rippled forward to all members of the NNSs, with the exception of Shizuma and those who joined him. Being saved from tribulations, and wanting to reciprocate the same towards other broken people is something not a lot of people do nowadays. It's hard to forgive people who wronged you, or wronged others, and Kagura being on that journey that involves forgiveness, is all thanks to Boruto's actions. Fourthly, the Funato clan is an interesting group of antagonists so far. We don't know much about them, other than the fact that they have a massive influence, to the point they can occupy land. They're menacing, even to the point of killing people and towns to get what they want. It's a good thing to show the antagonists' effect on world building as well. However, Kawaki defends their reasoning to do so, but doesn't justify it, where there is a clear distinction between the two. It shows Kawaki's maturity, adding more to his character as well. People who are exposed to sufferings are a lot less naive about the things of the world. Meanwhile, it's different for Boruto. He lived a peaceful life, and is slowly drifting away from that. Which is why he was so shocked to see kids younger than him have to resort to stealing to survive, in the Kara Actuation Arc. We will definitely find out more about the Funato clan in the future. Lastly, I love the little shine Sarada and Mitsuki had in this arc. Mitsuki's a whole savage, paralyzing or killing those dudes 😂. I know people may not like this arc, but I've been extremely intrigued throughout, even though last week's animation wasn't that great (though the set up was pretty nice). I have high hopes for this arc, but I'm keeping my expectations low. Easily an 8 to 9/10 episode for me.
