my mom and i are estranged, she left when i was 10 because she became addicted to hard drugs and i haven seen here in 15 years. this song always reminded me of her before. i miss you mom
Feel for ya homie, I can relate. My mom passed almost a year ago. But I made sure she knew I loved and forgave her for everything. Hope you can find some peace with her. 🖤
Last part where he says "I've seen your face a hundred times" it's "I've seen your face a thousand times!" Last time he will sing it, the word will change to thousand from hundreds! Learned this song when my mother was fighting almost over ten years of cancer and she would tell my GMA she was going home. Now I understand what my Mom was saying. I lost her almost 15 years ago of cancer.
I want to specially appreciate you for being a big fan. This is the story of me and my mother.... Everytime i hear it it just makes me want to give her one more chance, but she'll only let me down again... amazing song....
As a mother who had addiction problems (know it caused my children mental pain) but got off all of it but took many times to succeed. Don’t know your situation but if see that person is trying to get better (forgetting not possible) & even if not close (forgive) her for yourself as I wasn’t taught well by my mother (not her fault) as no one taught her and that’s where we can help our children today! Teach them it’s ok to say your feelings with no shaming involved & compassion heals.
This song can have such meaning behind it to anyone. My dad who worked on the fishing boats in Alaska for months said on their way back home from bein on the boat for months that they would blast this song!! It's personally one of my all time favorites :) just another reason why Ozzy is a badass
A couple years ago, when I was 18, I moved to Iowa to do some construction work. It was the longest I had ever been away from my family so of course there was much love waiting upon my arrival back home (especially from my mother, considering I'm her youngest of 7). Well, I was playing this song loud with the convertible top down of the new car I just bought. I seriously think this song definitely put the mood in place waiting to see my family.
This was my first song I'd ever liked as a kid and today as a 12 year old when I hear it agian I just start to cry. Every day when Mum came a took me home from kindergarten my Mum put this song on and I started to sing along. I still remember the lyrics and even my smile from me as a 3 year old.
When my mom passed away when I was 12 I listened to this non stop for like a month or two... this being the 6th anniversary I figured I would listen to it again.
Ozzy your the only reason im still alive. Every time im feeling down, that my life means nothing, that everything would be better without me, I turn on this song and everything gets better. my frown turns into a smile, and everything is okay. I love you Ozzy. Thank you, your my hero.
I miss my mom so much , since grade 2 I m staying in hostel , and I get very time to stay with her . And now I can't wait to see her . I love you Mom . I love you so much 💕💕💕
This is the song my daddy used to play to let me and Nana Rogers ( R.I.P ) he was coming home... His request always was... " I want this song for my only daughter and my mother, Girls im coming home " I cry whenever i listen to it...
sorry to hear that man, it is really hard to lose someone special like her into each one's lives. but don't worry man, she's in a place where no problems and troubles exist, a place where peace and tranquility is dominant...
I remember singing this song in my head the last few weeks of Boot Camp back in the 90s…Parris Island is a lonely place and this song was my anthem those last few days before graduation
This is about Ozzy's wife, Sharon. "Mama" is Ozzy's pet name for his wife. "At that time Zakk and I were doing a lot of writing on the piano. 'Mama, I'm Coming Home' was always something I'd say on the phone to my wife near the end of a tour." Ozzy gave up drugs and alcohol before recording this. He credits Sharon for the lifestyle change, and admits that he would be dead if did not turn sober. The album is lighter and more reflective than anything he had done before.

I give respect to all musical people, but guitarists that can play and put soul in a guitar get some extra kudos from me. Anyone can pick up and thrash. But it takes a real special talent to put SOUL into your riffs.
This just goes to show you that even the darkest kind of people have mothers that they can talk to. Remember that, my children. Everyone has a mother that deserves respect. Even Ozzy shows respect for his mother. Let's do the same. After all, she carried you around for nine months before you were born. Remember this.
I know this song is about a random guy who meets this extraordinary woman. She hypnotize him and gives him the best night of his life then tells him to leave but she stays in his head and 7.5 years later she has conquered his heart and he remember the feeling of coming home like completely he felt in her presence and he screams, so she can hear him from 200 miles away: Mama, Im coming home!!!
It dosen't matter how old you are or how grown you have become.. you're just the same kid in your mother's eyes :) mother is the most precious and Beautiful thing in this world :')
Times have changed and times are strange Here I come, but I ain't the same Mama, I'm coming home Times gone by seems to be You could have been a better friend to me Mama, I'm coming home You took me in and you drove me out Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah Lost and found and turned around By the fire in your eyes You made me cry, you told me lies But, I can't stand to say goodbye Mama, I'm coming home I could be right, I could be wrong It hurts so bad, it's been so long Mama, I'm coming home Selfish love, yeah, we're both alone The ride before the fall, yeah But I'm gonna take this heart of stone I just got to have it all I've seen your face a hundred times Everyday we've been apart I don't care about the sunshine, yeah 'Cause mama, mama, I'm coming home I'm coming home You took me in and you drove me out Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah Lost and found and turned around By the fire in your eyes I've seen your face a thousand times Every day we've been apart And I don't care about the sunshine, yeah 'Cause mama, mama, I'm coming home I'm coming home I'm coming home I'm coming home
lol i started thinking of the little ozzy for some reason because i got the blizzard of ozz vinyl a few days ago and this song has been stuck in my head for days.....
im 17 and im in a band, were not great yet. but we will be with more practice, but my dream is to play music for a living, and bring rock n roll music back to what it used to be, a way of life... in august of this year, me and my band are driving all the way to L.A. for 3 weeks, a 4,400 mile round trip. were gonna write some music, and hopefully learn alot from other musicians. and im gonna play this on my way home, its gonna be an adventure of a lifetime, and i cant wait.
My brother used to say this to my mom when he was about to come home from his dads...the last time he said it was 8 years ago.. R.I.P jim i miss you bro May 28th 1983- may 29th 04 and also my dear brother Randy. january 13th 75 - march 20th 2005 i love you guys gone but never forgotten.
this music is amazing,oh why is it dissapearing?? today the kings of the music are the hip-hop and the rap. This music should be the king! thumbs up if you agree.
my dad showed me this song when i was little and now i am listening to it. i thought the title sounded familiar but i wasnt sure so i clicked on it and now i remember...

I love this song so much for the melody and Ozzy’s voice..But at the end of the day, I can’t relate to this song cuz it’s a song about an estranged relationship between a mother and son.
It's coming up on a year since I got my mom's ashes in my hands. She died 13 years before I held her in my hands. I searched my whole life until I joined the US army and they helped me find her obituary. Then I found my whole family from. My mom's side. I know this isn't about ozzy's mom but I learned how to play this on guitar at like 14 or 15 because it gave me an outlet and it was the first song that came on the radio after I got my mom's ashes.
This song is good fit Scaramouche, because he had estranged relationships between him and to his mother it is Raiden Shogun. Also fun fact is that Scaramouche’s engilsh voice actor did singing cover to this song.
my mom and i are estranged, she left when i was 10 because she became addicted to hard drugs and i haven seen here in 15 years. this song always reminded me of her before.

So sad to read this because I too use hard drug's
@@jasawantkumar4675 the sex drugs and rocknroll thing of the 60's forgot to mention the down side.
For my brother Denny, he loved Ozzy and he is with momma again in the skies forever.
Last part where he says "I've seen your face a hundred times" it's "I've seen your face a thousand times!" Last time he will sing it, the word will change to thousand from hundreds! absolutely love this song. I am so grateful to have my mother by my side, and to have her love!

I don't listen to alot of Ozzy, but I can honestly say, and believe that this is one of his most soulful songs he's ever made.
Well, actually Lemmy wrote it
Same here
This song can have such meaning behind it to anyone. My dad who worked on the fishing boats in Alaska for months said on their way back home from bein on the boat for months that they would blast this song!! It's personally one of my all time favorites :) just another reason why Ozzy is a badass

There are no words to describe this song, because it makes me just stare at the screen amazed, amused and silently

A adventurous lad that became a legend of the power rock bands .
I'm young, and I know EVERY single lyric to this song. I also wish so badly to see this in concert.
sorry to hear that man, it is really hard to lose someone special like her into each one's lives. but don't worry man, she's in a place where no problems and troubles exist, a place where peace and tranquility is dominant...

My mother died in a couple of weeks ago and this song was her favourite. I'm going to play it on her funeral next friday :')
I give respect to all musical people, but guitarists that can play and put soul in a guitar get some extra kudos from me. Anyone can pick up and thrash. But it takes a real special talent to put SOUL into your riffs.
thats my favorite solo of all his songs ever!!
This just goes to show you that even the darkest kind of people have mothers that they can talk to.

Everyone has a mother that deserves respect.
Even Ozzy shows respect for his mother.
Let's do the same.
After all, she carried you around for nine months before you were born.
Remember this.
This is easily my favorite song by Ozzy.
One of the last songs I want playing at my funeral.

Best Ozzie of bourne song of all time
this song played at my gpa funeral...his last words to my dad and aunts nd uncles was i wanna go home to mom...my gma died back in 92...
Ozzy you are the master of legends! :D
Times have changed and times are strange
Here I come, but I ain't the same
Mama, I'm coming home
Times gone by seems to be
You could have been a better friend to me
Mama, I'm coming home
You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes
You made me cry, you told me lies
But, I can't stand to say goodbye
Mama, I'm coming home
I could be right, I could be wrong
It hurts so bad, it's been so long
Mama, I'm coming home
Selfish love, yeah, we're both alone
The ride before the fall, yeah
But I'm gonna take this heart of stone
I just got to have it all
I've seen your face a hundred times
Everyday we've been apart
I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'Cause mama, mama, I'm coming home
I'm coming home
You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes
I've seen your face a thousand times
Every day we've been apart
And I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'Cause mama, mama, I'm coming home
I'm coming home
I'm coming home
I'm coming home
You are aware this is a lyric video right?
