i got chills all over when he transitioned into the 3rd & final passage so beautifully. his tone throughout is delicate yet full. but the video is cut off too quickly at the end
oh my word, amazing performance. the voice leading is incredible, it's like he has three hands. absolutely using this as a reference while i'm studying this piece.
It was a beautiful performance with warm energy. Listening to this performance reminded me of the beautiful spring flower garden. I enjoyed the performance that is good to listen to on a spring day.
woah, Edit: I'm currently trying to learn this but holy moly it's difficult. I can play the first few part with separate hands but putting them together is such a mess in this piece! Very hard indeed

It's good, for fitting in with "modern times", but what REALLY brings out chopin is when you play straight without the induced emotional micro pauses and adding new lang-lang type of exaggeratedness, (which this player doesn't do that much of), but without a lot of micro pausing, Chopin can really become beautiful. Allow the listener to interpret the emotion in the music itself; don't force it upon the listener with slow downs and micro pauses/micro accelerations. Even though this performer adds a bit of micro pausing, he has a super elegant and a great sensitive touch. ruclips.net/video/KBDwYeXmfSM/видео.html The above is to illustrate my point
Chopin’s soul speaks through this man. What an extraordinary talented pianist!
He makes me understand the music he plays and he is right at all times. Thank you and love you mr. Cho!
I love the way Cho plays Chopin. So perfect, delicate and beautiful. He makes any piece seems so easy to play.❤️💐
He plays with heart. I love this prelude.
I love this prelude. Thanks to sensitive but romantic passage, I became a Chopin lover.
so romantic

Best I heard so far

This is the first Chopin piece I heard. I was 7 and tough summer was breezing outside, my sadness was almost palpable. Until that Prelude

So beautiful...

Bravo Seong👏👏👏👏👏

Such emotion.
I love this piece so much out of all the preludes. I don’t know why it doesn’t get as much attention.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
He really deserved to win even though my favorite pianist Dmitry shishkin was in the competition that year

you would die if you heard a performance from a romantic era composer if you think rubato is bad 😂
@@dnuma5852 did they do zero rubato in romantic times??
I am not mad for his tempo. He rushes it.
Here, this is better: ruclips.net/video/zUxYnzzB2c4/видео.html
Disagree. I think that Pogorelich performance is too slow. Though some of Cho's rubato is a bit overheated for me...
