Paul did decide to help him, years later, getting him some work as a session musician which enabled him to have a renaissance and set up a new band. Eventually, however, he succumbed to heavy drugs. A little emotional and psychological therapy and some TLC might have done the trick after the let-down for this talented musician. Was the biopic about Jimmie's life ever made?

He himself says that the noys were so good to him and thats why he's never attempted to capitalize on his brief tender with the biggest band of all time. The Beatles never forgot Jimmy and the Sgt.
